Trailborn Highlands, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
"Clean and well maintained property. Helpful staff. Easy walk to downtown Highlands. Comfortable room. Morning coffee and tea service was very basic. This could be improved. Perhaps provide more coffee options and a pastry or two."

The Skyline Lodge
"Pet friendly but multiple dogs off leash and owners letting them roam which seemed odd leash weren’t required. Property is pretty, rooms were ok minus flea bites I brought back. Said they offered pastries for sale in the morning but they were not there during our stay. Highly recommend staying on ..."

"The Mountain House is unique. It is truly an old house that has been modified to include rooms and a restaurant. There are about 8-10 rooms in the Main House where we stayed. There is a separate building called the Bunkhouse out back. The room was clean but very small and tight. More so that I thought ..."

Highlander Mountain House
"The Mountain House is unique. It is truly an old house that has been modified to include rooms and a restaurant. There are about 8-10 rooms in the Main House where we stayed. There is a separate building called the Bunkhouse out back. The room was clean but very small and tight. More so that I thought was possible but we got used to it. The air conditioner and TV worked well but the window shades were hard to operate. Our room had a queen-sized bed and it was nice. The biggest challenge was that there is no elevator so one has to walk up steep stairs carrying your own luggage to get to your room. Fortunately, Sarah was there when we arrived and she helped. But the hotel really does need to have a strong person on duty at arrival time and departure time to carry luggage to the room. We had to make two trips up and down the stairs. The parking is scarce. Only a few spots out back. On one occasion we had to park out on the street. There is no breakfast served during the week but they do make available coffee and banana bread. The staff, especially Sarah, was very helpful. The house is just across the street from all the shops on Main Street so the location is great. That is one reason we chose to stay there. Now that I know the details of the facility I would plan my luggage more carefully if I stayed there again. We did not have a chance to try out the restaurant."
