Our stay at the Microtel was a bit disappointing. We showed up to check in and were not greeted until we had been standing at the desk for at least 8 minutes. We then checked in and upon arriving in our room it smelt of a mixture of wet dog and sweaty man...very bad. They told us it was the cinnamon they sprayed but when we got back it was still there. We asked to switch rooms and the woman at the front desk was VERY pleasant. So kind and willing to help. She was the savings grace of our stay. After our night we looked forward to a small breakfast and coffee before we got in the road. The breakfast was not set up and no intention of it being set up. There was only coffee. If COVID was the issue it would have been nice to know there was no breakfast before or at the moment we checked in. Overall we will not be coming back when visiting the Franklin area.

Upon check in there is signage located right at the front desk describing the no continental breakfast at this time as well as the front desk clerk mentioning it when checking in. If you were not told this at check in, I do apologize and will be addressing the issue to prevent this from happening in the future. It is our job to make sure our customers and staff members are safe and not spreading any germs, that is the main reason for no breakfast at this time during the Covid outbreak as our numbers keep rising. We hope that you do understand and will give us another chance to make it up to you. Take care, stay safe & Happy New Year to you and your family.

Did not like that requested wake up did NOT happen. Glad I backed it up. And not one thing flr breakfast? Not even a piece of fruit? How cheap of you.

At this time we are not serving it due to the increase of cases of COVID in our area. I apologize and hope that you understand. Also, I am sorry about you not receiving a wake up call. I'm not sure what happened. I will address this issue to prevent it from happening in the future. Again, we apologize and it is our hope that you will give us another chance. Take care & stay safe.

Room was clean. Staff is not very helpful or friendly. Due to COVID19 the room does not get cleaned daily. The dirty towels pile up until you check out. The Air Conditioner keeps turning off in the middle of the night and I wake up sweating.

Basic. One clerk seemed to be working front desk and cleaning rooms. Yet, she was pleasant and trying. Air conditioner noisy but cooled well. Room deoderizer scent in room was strong but tolerable. Everything seemed very clean. Probably about right overall considering cost.
