The hotel room is updated but there was spider webs along the walls and ceilings, some being right on top of the bunk beds where our kids slept. We also found cockroaches in our bathroom which was extremely unpleasant. Aside from that, it was a quiet place just a little bit of a shock to find out it was located behind a liquor store when we arrived.

This is our second stay here at California Inn and we were not disappointed. Even though we were late checking out they were very understanding about it. They only suggestion we would have is possibly provide an option to have a microwave oven for a little extra fee to warm up left over food. Otherwise we were not disappointed with our stay.

Have stayed here before. Rooms not as clean and neat as in previous stays. Hotel grounds also not as maintained as before. Ok for the price. Used to be excellent for the price. Now just ok.

The grounds are maintained cleanly, but the onsite parking needs to be organized differently; it was rather difficult to maneuver between two cars within a maybe 8-9’ space while accessing the room initially. In my room, the bathroom had no shower door for the walk-in shower, which was beautifully designed, but not in the most functional way as water splashed everywhere. While unfortunate and perhaps out of the property’s control, we also happened to experience a water outage the following morning, which prevented us from getting ready for check out early. We had to rush to get ready and check out after the front desk notified us over the phone that the water service had been restored and operational.

The hotel room itself was actually very good. But the hotel reception room left a poor impression. It smelled awful; the receptionist came out with food on his shirt and proceeded to tell me that the room was on the 1st floor when it in fact was on the 2nd. I had a witness with me to confirm.

Do not recommend! STAY AWAY! Walked into the office for check-in and we were standing in their alone for 3 minutes until some guy finally came out. The guy did not say one word when checking in. After getting into the room there was 3 roaches, turned on the tv and there was por* playing. Was there for less then 10 minutes.

This property was not like the photos or the reviews when I walked into my room it smelled like cigarettes and there where random black stains on the walls I didn’t really mind till I found more spots around my room and when k walked into my bathroom there was a couple bugs walking around there where also random people walking around the area speaking really loudly was super hard to sleep this hotel is nothing like it says it is.
