The hotel is under renovation. The room directly across the hall was being painted and you could smell the fresh paint in our room and hear the workers the whole time. From ripping and setting the tape to using the paint gun to just talking. The carpet in the room had a mildew feel/smell to it. Couldn’t walk around without shoes on. The ice machine had black mold on the ice, so we just stopped at the gas station. The deposit is pretty high… but luckily we were able to put cash down and get it back when checking out after 8am. The staff was wonderful and they are the only reason it’s not a 1 star review.

The front office person was very nice and professional. Unfortunately the room had a musty, wet-rag smell. We thought it just had to air out so we turned the air-conditioner up and left for a couple hours. When we came back the smell was still there but we were too tired to gather up our stuff and ask for a different room. The lobby had a really strong candle/ air freshener scent; probably to hide a smell there as well, unfortunately. We were disappointed because we had stayed there a few years ago and it was fine.

One person we traveled with didn’t have a tray for coffee. Shower and faucet leaked. My room was fine just a bit dated. Looked like you were doing upgrades. Customer service wasn’t great.

Our room was clean and a nice size. The staff were helpful and friendly. The challenge was I'm handicapped and there is no elevator. Staff assisted getting everything up to our room.

The hotel is being renovated and the improvements are apparent. My room looked freshly painted and looked like a brand new mattress which was extremely comfortable. First time in a long time I haven’t been sore in the morning from the mattress.
