Expectations shattered

Pros: High definition television, and free shuttle service within 3 miles.
Cons: Draining showers Meals that reflect the menu description
As soon as I arrived the hotel was hot because ac was getting replaced. When I got to my room I was checking everything out and got black stuff on my had and sheets from the remote control-had to get it replaced. Took a shower in the morning and had to wait cold and wet for the shower to drain so I could wash my feet. Turns out after moving rooms twice you just have to remove the plug completely for the water to drain. Got a free appetizer and non-alcoholic drink for my troubles. The appetizer said "Mexican style shrimp cocktail." So I asked for the tomatoes to be left out. When the cocktail got to me it was long stringy slices of avocado that I had to chop up myself. No cilantro or visible vegetables like the menu said, the sauce was just blended or store bought cocktail sauce-hardly Mexican style.

No reservation

We arrived at the hotel to have no reservation. Because I was a Hilton Honors member they honored my reservation, which I had a copy of the reservation. I did not have to call Travelocity to get me the room.

Close to everything!

I fulfilled a dream of almost 30 years and went in October for the hot air balloon festival! Had this hotel left a bad taste in my mouth, my trip memories would be damaged as well. But this place was GREAT! Exceptional services, friendly staff, and nice, warm cookies to boot! I even needed to have my insurance agency fax a copy of my insurance card, since I decided to rent a car our last day. The staff was so gracious, informing me as soon as it arrived. We took advantage of their chauffeur-ing us to a few places as well, and would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Good View!

I stayed here for two nights, I was glad I did so. Staff was nice and the room was clean and well kept. Restaurants and downtown hot spots were literally blocks away from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to ABQ!

Good Hotel

Not sure why previous reviews were negative. The rooms here are nice, new and clean. Lobby is a bit bland but fine. The staff is friendly. Parking is $* per day but after hours and on weekends the lot for the office to the North is available. The restaurants breakfast quality is just OK.

Phone never work properly

The phone didn't work and we were charged for phone calls that we couldn't make. The front desk did remove them after a short discussion. The staff was very polite and the hotel was conveniently located near the convention center. They did send a shuttle the airport for us and that was a great plus. I would stay there again.

No One Cares....

When I checked in it took the blonde manager and her friend about 10 minutes to notice me. When I was finally checked in the room smelled and I called down to see if I could change, same lady answered the phone and told me I was "out of Luck" we are sold out. Funny - I hardly noticed anyone staying during my stay - and the parking lot was empty. (maybe that's because they charge $10) So I stayed in my stinky room, decided to go relax at the "pool" that is actually a steel tub, seems very dangerous, very small and obviously no one pays any attention to maintaining it. I found the staff generally uninterested in being there. Restaurant was like eating in a cafeteria - strange decor and uncomfortable steel chairs. Food was hideous, I was expecting the Famous New Mexico Chile I hear about - no authentic cuisine served here.

Not 4 star!

While we found the staff to be very friendly and the general ambience nice, the rooms were shabby for the $$ and the restaraunt was horrible. At breakfast we were one of only two tables, yet our order took more than 30 minutes and was prepared incorrectly. Our complaint was largely ignored. Paying $10 for parking on top of the room fee was also a sore point. Not worth the money!
