"We loved, loved, loved this hotel! It gave us a truly 5-star experience. The hotel is a converted convent and was a historical site in and of itself (it comes with it's own church which is beautiful). Convento do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa
"We loved, loved, loved this hotel! It gave us a truly 5-star experience. The hotel is a converted convent and was a historical site in and of itself (it comes with it's own church which is beautiful). The property is very well maintained with pretty grounds (full of fruit trees and flowers) and amenities. We used the gym, indoor pool (there is also an outdoor pool), hot tub and sauna - and enjoyed them thoroughly. Our room was very big with a super-king bed - we had great sleeps each night. Breakfast and dinner were very well done. Breakfast is abundant and with quality food. Dinner the first night was at the Italian restaurant, Olive - and the food was absolutely delicious. The second night we ate at the Portuguese restaurant and it was also very good. The reception and room staff were very pleasant and quick to address any of our needs. We would say that this hotel is definitely an experience that I would recommend!!"
