When we arrived, no one offered to take our luggage to the room. We had to lug them up a hill ,over grass, and up a ramp. The person who took us to the room, did not explain, the TV & AC remotes, the safe, the coffee maker, restaurant hours (we found out later no coffee served after 3 PM) ,etc. There was no toilet paper in the bath when we arrived. Maid service was spotty- out of 8 days,they came to clean on 5 of them. There was no currency exchange at the desk..There is no bar for mixed drinks. Although the grounds are very well cared for, the room was ill-maintained (see photos). Rusty garbage can, moldy tub, torn pillows, peeling paint,faded wall hangings,a rickety sofa -detract from the rooms appearance. The unusual key and door lock are problematic -even a staff member had problems unlocking our room.
