"Reception staff were great, friendly, helpful and really are a credit to facility. The rest of the stay was ok, the building and room were all ok, nothing bad, but lacking compared to say a Premier Inn in terms of freshness, comfort etc. The additional charge to park your car seemed a bit OTT when ..."

6/10 (12 reviews)

"The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. "Perfectly fine for my needs, a one night stop over for cycling. Well situated for some excellent quite lanes, with tough climbs. "A lovely old Victorian hotel with plenty of character. The room was very spacious, and having a bath to relax in after a long day was perfect. "The staff were fab and were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I did raise the issues with the staff during our stay, and they were apologetic and did their best to help. "Lovely hotel in stunning location. The decor in the annexe rooms was not really in keeping with the more modern building (the decor mirrored the main hotel which is older so makes more sense). But the extra space for a family was great and the main hotel was really impressive, the breakfast room took our breath away!! Would stay again definitely"

"This is my 5th stay and I honestly have no real complaints apart from noisy neighbours in room above. This was immediately rectified by Lucy the Front of House Manager who very kindly moved me to a suite upstairs. Nothing was too much trouble and this is the reason I return to Bryn meadows each time. 💕"
