I adored this hotel and I will definitely be coming back here. They let me have my dog and it’s conveniently located on a beach and only 0.9 miles from a dog beach in Del Mar that was also lovely. The hotel was modern and nicely decorated, the staff was friendly, and I loved it overall.

Holiday Inn Express Solana Beach-Del Mar by IHG
I did not know property was under renovation. Elevator did not work. Construction worker on property directing traffic through construction into parking garage got snippy with my wife because she wasn’t moving fast enough. Walked to front desk and cancelled our stay, and stayed somewhere else.

If you need a quiet room don’t get a room by the elevator or storage room the staff trying to work for our best experience example 414 or 416.

Extended Stay America San Diego - Sorrento Mesa
Staff was nice but gave us a coffee maker that didn’t. Asked for another the following morning that one didn’t work either. Floor was sticky and some of the towels were stained.

It was very pleasant and nice overall, the neighborhood was very quiet and pretty nice. I loved the area nearby, and if you are up for a walk, there is plenty of stuff to do within a mile.
