Finding Fort Lauderdale Hotels
Sunny beaches, yachts, and a buzzing boulevard scene paralleling the sands—this former spring break paradise has grown up since the days of being where the boys (and girls) are. Today, A1A is a beachside paradise full of sandy shores, blue waters, shady palm trees, beachside bars, Fort Lauderdale hotels, and prime shopping and dining.
No matter where you stay, you're always close to the water and major attractions. In fact, head a little west and you'll find great deals on cheap Fort Lauderdale hotels and the most visited spots apart from the beach. The Swap Shop is a world of its own and a short drive west, or for a world of natural wonder, stay even further west close to where civilization ends and the Florida Everglades begin.
Fun Around Fort Lauderdale
Shop in one of the state's biggest malls at Sawgrass Mills. Most hotels in Fort Lauderdale offer shuttles to this mega mall, but there are numerous places nearby in West Broward where you can also stay.
The River Street and Los Olas Boulevard downtown areas are all full of boutique shops, trendy restaurants, vivid nightlife, historic Fort Lauderdale hotels, and the Stranahan House. The performing arts center, museums, and other attractions make up this area as well.
