What's there to say about Las Vegas that hasn't already been said? The lights are always bright, the stakes are always high, and the place known as the Entertainment Capital of the World hasn't earned its well-known moniker for nothing. Any Las Vegas vacation is bound to have a few great stories attached!
Established in 1905, Vegas became a city in 1911, but it wasn't until gambling was legalized in 1931 that the hedonistic hotspot started to take shape. In 1946, gangster Bugsy Siegel opened the Flamingo on what would later become the Strip, laying the groundwork for the glitzy city that makes Las Vegas vacation packages so popular today. From the man-made canals of the Venetian to the gold pyramid fagade of the Luxor, casinos rule the roost in Sin City.
If gambling isn't your bag, spend your Las Vegas vacation under a poolside cabana, or hit the clubs like a Hollywood VIP. Lay prone in five-star spas, stroll the many malls, or take time for tee on a prestigious golf course. And if you happen to find your soulmate at the dinner buffet? Well, Vegas is a great place to get hitched. You can even have Elvis do the honors.
