I was the victim of a bait and switch tactic by Frontier Airlines. The prices of tickets on Travelocity’s website are not comparing apples to apples. I purchased the Frontier ticket believing it was the same as Delta’s ticket. I learned later that this was not true, and that Frontier intended to rip me off for a significantly higher price to get on the plane.
Travelocity does make this information available through a hyperlink. However, this is not sufficient, because relatively-intelligent people fall for the scam.
I am a class-action attorney, and could likely get a sizable judgment against Travelocity for these arguably-fraudulent pricing methods. I suggest that you make the disclosure more apparent. If this happens again, and I have more time, I will pursue you.
