When Los Cabos, Mexico comes to mind, many people picture the Baja California Peninsula as a great getaway: with its white sand beaches, azure blue waters and plenty of marine life for hours of joy and observation. But did you also known it’s where to experience the most luxurious all-inclusive resorts as well? Travel blogger Dr. Cacinda Maloney of PointsandTravel shares her picks for two of the most incredible resorts you’ll find in Cabo.

Each time I return to Los Cabos, I get more and more excited to see how much it has changed through the years. The first time I arrived on the shores of where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, I was a mere 20-something years old with no cares in the world. I stayed at a cozy beachside resort attached directly across from the mountain to Lover’s Beach and the famous Los Arcos arches. Little did I know that I would return again and again. One of the biggest changes that I have seen is the sheer number of offerings for all-inclusive luxury resorts. On many of my more recent visits to Los Cabos, I have had a chance to visit quite a few of them. For this trip report, I would like to contrast the two lovely resorts of Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos and Paradisus Los Cabos since I had a chance to intimately visit the pair of them during my latest Cabo trip.

Both Le Blanc Spa Resort and Paradisus Los Cabos consider themselves luxury all-inclusive resorts. Both have multiple restaurants, bars, and pool services. In fact, the two resorts are located on Federal Highway 1 in San José del Cabo just a few minutes drive from each other. However, Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos is strictly adults-only, while Paradisus Los Cabos is a family and adult-styled luxury resort with private towers for the adults. These resorts have a lot in common, things like upscale services, butlers, multiple pools, swim-up bars, and spas. However, each hotel has a different “feel” to it within the spaces that it offers.

Le Blanc Spa Resort

It definitely has the upper hand in romance and relaxation, since it is an adults-only hotel which brings out the chic nature of the interior design. With its top-shelf liquors at the bars, 24-hour in-room dining, its indulgent and spectacular hydrotherapy spa journey, as well as its luxurious accommodations, I would stay here if you are doing a girlfriend getaway or couples vacation. Just the sheer beauty of the white on white when you enter the lobby is stunning. What I love about this resort is the way they allow your eye to continue to see past the glaring white lobby to the blue ocean and sky. Those two colors are prominent as you enter the property with the color white being the overall theme to the hotel. And it seems there is just something about the color white that makes it that much more seductive, vibrant, and chic than any other color.

Spa and Pools

Le Blanc Spa Resort has FOUR outdoor pools, including one fabulous infinity pool, as well as two swim-up bars and two outdoor hot tubs! Not only that, it has one of the finest and most upscale spas that I have been to. The spa is spectacular with 25 treatment suites including nine couple suites and one Le Blanc D’Or suite. It also has a water journey that consists of a hydrotherapy facility with hot and cold plunge pools, hot tubs, herbal steam room, sauna, and ice room along with pressure showers and a relaxation lounge. They even offer chromo and music therapy for your relaxation pleasure. They have plenty of staff to help you as you make your way thru their cascade of services while you are on your water journey.

Accommodations

The hotel itself has 373 rooms, 98% which have oceanfront or partial ocean views. The resort is smoke-free and offers over 159 Royale Deluxe partial ocean view rooms and 161 Royale Deluxe Honeymoon rooms! There are even seven Royale Junior Suites and 10 Governor Suites, so there are plenty of classes of rooms to choose from. And while you are there, they offer a bottle of wine in your suite upon arrival. They have BVLGARI bath amenities and CHI hair dryers and flat irons as well! They also have pedestal bathtubs and rain showers in the bathrooms. I could go on and on about the upscale amenities you will receive during your stay at Le Blanc Spa Resort. Things like a beach bag, aromatherapy, bath salts, bathrobe & slippers, and even a specialty pillow menu will all be there waiting for you. I loved the Apple TV and of course, the digital safe that is large enough to hold my MacBook Pro inside!

Restaurants

Of course, everyone loves food and Le Blanc is there to please with its eight restaurants and six bars on the premises. I had one of the most spectacular lunches while there that consisted of REAL MEXICAN food! Here you will get well plated, gorgeous, and delicious Mexican food made from the recipe of one of the café workers or the chef. I had the amazing flank steak tacos with pico de gallo, guacamole, grilled onion, and cilantro in a flour tortilla (my favorite) but there were so many more options.

Paradisus Los Cabos

Paradisus Los Cabos is an all-inclusive luxury resort and is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. It also has a swimmable beach, which is a plus for Los Cabos. It was recently renovated and sits on 18.5 acres of land. The hotel itself offers rooms and suites that include a fully-stocked mini bar, laptop-sized safes, 24-hour in-room dining, a spa, as well as luxurious accommodations. They have a fully-equipped gym, and of course, complimentary Wi-Fi for their guests. Their Royal Service is similar to the adults-only service received at Le Blanc Spa Resort in that it provides elegant suites with views of the Sea of Cortez and is adults-only with a personal butler. However, it has the added benefit of having a family section too, so that you can vacation with family and use the family concierge for kid-friendly services.

Accommodations & Pools

Since I stayed in the towers that contained the Royal Service, I can attest that it was a true VIP experience with butler service and exclusive access to their private lounge, restaurant, as well as the pool and beach area. They even have some swim-up suites on the bottom floor with access to an exclusive pool. I personally loved the layout of the room as it lent itself to unpacking your belongings with a fully open, yet curtained closet that was easy to use. They also had a pillow menu as well. The hotel also has FOUR beautiful pools, some which are kid-friendly and others that are adults-only.

Restaurants

One of the joys of staying here is to delight your taste buds with delicious cuisine. You will find an interesting Basque cuisine at the Gastro Bar by Martin Berasategui, a world-famous chef with 10 Michelin stars! He provides inspiration and conversation at the dinner table with his modern-styled plating and dishes. You will go away knowing exactly what molecular gastronomy is!

But that is not the only restaurant on site. Each morning I would go to the fabulous buffet-style restaurant called Naos Restaurant. The selection was enormous and if you can’t find what you were looking for there, then you must not be hungry. Paradisus Los Cabos has seven restaurants in total offering all-day dining and seven bars including a swim-up bar and beach bar. So you will never go hungry or thirsty. And of course, they also have a full-service menu of in-room dining if you would prefer that as well.

Spa

And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the YHI Spa, with its modern facility and treatments that are available. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to use their services but did peek inside to see a wonderful environment for relaxation. I am sure, after a fantastic day at the beach, it is a wonderful place to wind down and recharge your battery!

There you have it, two amazing all-inclusive luxury hotels in Los Cabos, Mexico. One perfect for you. Tell me, where will you be staying on your next Cabo adventure?
