a capsule hotel is a bit misleading picture of the service they provide. it’s a cell with a single mattress. older folks, taller and heavier may find it challenging to climb up the bed and sleep with your valuables.

I’ve always wanted to try a capsule hotel but hadn’t seen any outside of Japan. After staying here, I’m happy to report that I loved this experience and will definitely stay here again (or at another one of their locations) next time I’m in Zurich. I’d describe it as having the trendy decor & vibe of a high-end hostel but with the privacy, quietness, & cleanliness of a nice hotel. Check-in & check-out were super easy. After 3 days of non-stop travel, I took a much-needed shower & was really pleased with the nice shower facilities & the lovely shampoo & body wash. (I would’ve appreciated some conditioner though!) After dinner, I got a pizza from the café area & was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. As for the capsule itself, the interior is very cozy & nicely decorated & has a comfortable mattress. The capsules are a lot roomier than expected: I’m a bigger person & had plenty of space. One complaint I often hear about capsule hotels is that the capsules can get very warm & stuffy, but the capsules here are well ventilated so that wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, I got the best sleep I’d had in months. 10/10 would recommend

Poorly designed, needs work

The pod doors and locks are noisy, as well as the hard floors, and the pods aren't secured to the building very well, so there is constant noise from people entering and leaving the pods (not to mention inconsiderate people who take calls in their pod or stomp in heavy shoes). Good luck if you end up in a room with a serial snorer. The owners/designers need to spend some time in Japanese capsule hotels to get a sense of flow and requirements. The shower stalls are too small to comfortably dry off and change, luggage storage under the pod means you disturb people packing and unpacking, and the only other place to change is being cramped in your pod. You can't complain about the location, but the sleeping experience needs work. Incorporate changing areas with individual luggage lockers, slippers, robes and it will be 1000% better

Incredible overnight!!!!

Amazing stay for a quick overnight at the airport! The capsule were immaculate, clean, roomie and soooo comfortable. Julia the morning host was the nicest and friendliest helpful host ever. The price was so cheap and the incredible amenities where ideal!!! Kudos to the Capsule Hotel!!!
