Wonderful short break

Stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is situated perfectly for exploring York and within 14 minutes walk of all you need to visit, ie York Minster, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre and much more. Made two specific requests beforehand and both were met to complete satisfaction. Hotel staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Lovely room which was clean with the exception of behind the bathroom door. Breakfast choice excellent and well presented and flavourful. Would definitely recommend and would return again.

Noisy Room

Hotel is in a good location for getting around York, staff are friendly & breakfast good. Location of the room on the 2nd floor of the hotel was found on the inside of the building, the view was of large 'Air Coolers' & the outside kitchen door/staff entrance. I told reception about the noise after the 1st day & was told it would only be noisy whilst the kitchen was open, not true as the noise is constant day & night. As we were only there for 2 nights we decided we wouldnt push for a room change but this could possibly prevent us from staying here again.

Nice rooms, friendly staff

The rooms were very nice, the staff was always helpful and friendly. The available food was not great for someone with gluten issues. Their room service for the weary traveller was all gluten based pasta. Breakfast was pricey and while they did offer a gluten free bread for the hot breakfast, the breakfast itself was not great. The convenience did not make up for being charged for every small thing and overly salted food.

Proximity of property to attractions in York. Mattress on bed had noisy springs when you moved and some of the fixtures and fittings appeared tired e.g. water damage on the back of the bathroom door and ripped net curtain.

Everything during our stay was wonderful. The beds were super comfy, the AC was a bonus during the heat wave, the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely book here again for future trips

2 day stay at Hotel Indigo, lovely hotel spotlessly clean air conditioned throughout which was a godsend in this heatwave. Quiet room at the rear view not the best but did not spoil. Lovely breakfast and very pleasant staff. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

The staff are what make this hotel. Really friendly and offer help in navigating round York. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms clean and bed comfy. Short walk to York centre.
