Great hotel. Friendly staff on arrival. Parking options differed to that on the website I think but receptionist helped us with that. Room was lovely and clean. Bed and pillows very comfy. Breakfast great with lots of choice. We did go down at a busy time so a little chaotic

Melissa who checked me and my brother in very rude, did not smile and her english terrible. We took photo of her. She spent the whole time on the phone and was not helpful in any way, when asking questions. Sheets was not very clean, found black curly hairs on the mattress. However, the bathroom was very nice and a great view. Breakfast was also very nice.

My stay was with my daughter and we booked a twin room and was pleasantly surprised that the single beds were much bigger than average. The room was clean but was a bit disappointed with the lack of variety on the tea/coffee tray, a couple of the sugar packets had been put back in empty. Enjoyed the variety on offer at breakfast.

Close to town able to walk to town. Walking distance to car park easy. Rooms great. Beds are low to the ground, though if your getting elderly may be a concern. Buffet breakfast was lovely. Nice feel to this place. Would highly recommend

As the breakfast was included in the price, wasn’t expecting too much, pleasantly surprised all the basics of a good hot breakfast, plus plenty of other options. All looked fresh and all food area very clean.

First time staying at a Hilton owned hotel and Hampton by Hilton York piccadilly was a lovely hotel that was accessible and in the heart of York town centre. The room was spacious and luxury feel to it and clean.

The hotel certainly does not deserve a 4 star rating. The breakfast was really poor, the hot food seemed like it had always been left for too long, even the fresh bacon and sausages that came out weren’t fresh and the rest of the breakfast was not what you would expect from a 4 star. Everything was cheap, the orange juice was watered juice, the cereal choice was rice crispies, corn flakes and cocoa pops, the fruit was tinned fruit or frozen and the hot drinks were help yourself from a machine. The room reminded me of a student accommodation, clean but the bathroom was very cramped. Also there was a distinct aroma of the drains throughout the hotel, it seemed to be coming through our bathroom sink which was really horrible. I would definitely book a different hotel if I was returning to York. Very disappointing for a Hilton Hotel.
