Elegante 3 camas dentro de las murallas de la ciudad

Diseñado pensando en las familias, la casa también es ideal para grupos pequeños. Se han tenido en cuenta muchas consideraciones de los huéspedes al configurar esta propiedad: camas cómodas, ropa de cama hermosa, artículos esenciales (champú, gel de ducha, té, café), WiFi rápido y TV grande con Netflix.

La propiedad ha sido renovada y amueblada a un nivel muy alto por los propietarios, proporcionando una casa de vacaciones excelente que comprende lo siguiente: salón de planta abierta, comedor y cocina, pequeño lavadero en la planta baja, tres dormitorios (un en suite) y un baño en los pisos superiores.

El acogedor salón tiene un gran sofá de 3 plazas de cuero y dos sillones alrededor de una estufa de leña de características eléctricas. Un televisor grande se coloca encima de la estufa en el cofre de la chimenea que está conectado a una caja de Apple TV que tiene una cuenta de Netflix, para aquellos que desean relajarse en una noche.

El comedor tiene una mesa grande y seis sillas y mucho espacio. La cocina de lujo totalmente equipada con encimeras de mármol incluye un horno eléctrico / parrilla Aga y cocina de gas. Un congelador grande de estilo americano con agua filtrada y hielo, microondas, tostadora y lavaplatos.

Fuera de la cocina hay un pequeño cuarto de servicio que tiene una lavadora secadora, fregadero y un baño útil en la planta baja. El estacionamiento está en la calle en la parte delantera de la propiedad con un permiso.

El patio trasero es un hermoso lugar para sentarse en una cálida noche. Un lugar perfecto para tomar un café al aire libre por la mañana o un vaso de vino por la noche.

El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king size de hierro, con muchos armarios y un cuarto de baño en suite con lavabo y wc. La habitación trasera tiene una cómoda cama doble, armario individual y una cómoda. Loft / tercer dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales, (tenga en cuenta que a petición se pueden hacer para formar una cama king size, aunque los huéspedes deben tener en cuenta que esta habitación tiene restricciones de altura de la cabeza dentro del espacio del techo. Extended Family Stay

We stayed here for an extended period due to work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is fantastic; it is within the York walls and very walkable to everything in town. We initially had issue with the WiFi due to my husband needing it to be reliable for work, and they made the effort to upgrade it so it was fast enough. The kitchen is nicely stocked, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for our family of 6. We would recommend this property.

Perfect York Stay

This is a great family home within easy walking distance of the city centre. Comfy beds, big fluffy towels, and a very relaxing environment. We loved our stay here!

A Real Home from Home

Excellent communication throughout. A very well equipped and comfortable cottage in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the river, a few more minutes to the city centre and, in our case, the Christmas markets. Lots of nice touches made this a real home from home. We had a great week here.

Beautiful & well-equipped house inside the city wall

The owners have done a great job. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has everything you could need. The location was perfect - seconds from the wall and under 5 minutes’ walk to the city centre.

The house was exceptionally located for us to walk into York to enjoy the Christmas Market. There were some treats waiting for us which we enjoyed and thought was a nice touch. The check in process was clear, and we even received a phone call the day before making sure that we had received the check in details and if we had any questions regarding our stay, which again, was a nice touch. The house is well decorated, and we loved the American size refrigerator with ice maker, which as an American, I was very happy about and used a lot!! We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again when we travel back to visit York again.

Comfort and joy!

The property was better than expected for location and quality. Everything was clean, organised and furnished to high standards with thoughtful amenities provided, even a hairdryer in each room! Quiet area and neighbours. We had a lovely stay, ate at local cafes and went on long wintery walks through historic York.

Great location, lovely property, parking easy

We were looking for somewhere close to the centre of town with parking that would fit a Land Rover. We expected to be disappointed, but 48 Fairfax Street was perfect. Inside the city walls, residents parking available, very quiet at night. House very well looked after, no complaints at all.

Lovely property in a great location

Fairfax Street is a very comfortable and welcoming house, with plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and two children. It's smart and very well-kept, especially considering that it's dog-friendly. The location is excellent, with easy walking to everywhere in central York, but on a very quiet street. There are a couple of very squeaky floorboards in the attic bedroom which sound in the master double below, but understandable as it's a period property. We had a great stay and would defininteley recommend.

Great location nice place

We met the grandparents here. They drove but we did it by train. You could easily do York without a car if you stayed here. We walked everywhere including from the train station. I liked how close it was to the wall but it was a quiet location.

Family Easter break

Fantastic! The location was brilliant, the house is delightful with plenty of room for all. Lovely little touches by host, like fresh milk, tea, coffee and bottle of fizz. Such a little gem I have recommended to friends already. Stays York were also extremely helpful and really impressed by the curtesy call the day before our trip.

Perfect spot

Lovely property on a very quiet street, but only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The spec was really high, lovely plush carpets upstairs, and the bathroom and kitchen were better than at home! Lovely little gifts on arrival and nice touches, like having coffee, milk etc. We had one minor problem, resolved by text message within minutes.

Excellent house in Central York

We loved the accommodation in Fairfax Street. House had plenty of room for 4 adults and a child. It is well situated about 15 mins walk from the city centre but the immediate area is quiet. There was a small play park nearby and the little micro bakery at the end of the street and the community owned pub around the corner shouldn't be missed. The kitchen was very well equipped and the welcome pack was great, including milk, biscuits, prosecco and as it was Easter some chocolate bunnies. There were also tea bags, coffee and some condiments available. Beds were comfortable and rooms had plenty of storage especially the main bedroom. The floor of the top storey bedroom is very creaky but it didn't prevent us from sleeping in the room below. There was a travel cot, changing mat and high chair available. Stairs are quite steep so the addition of an optional stair gate might be useful. Would definitely stay again.

A fabulous spot!

I can't imaging a better spot to be in York. A short walk to everything while in a very quiet neighbourhood on a cute little street. The flat was modern and had excellent features and a lovely kitchen. Six of us were comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was great. The third floor bedroom had very creaky floors over the main bedroom. I would definitely rent this flat again. We all loved it!

Excellent house when visiting York

We stayed as a family of 5 adults, and the layout was ideal - on the ground floor the space was great for socialising with open plan lounge, diner and kitchen, leading to outside space. There is an added bonus of a downstairs toilet. The outside space is compact but catches the sun very nicely during the day, with space for their table and four chairs, and for the dogs to enjoy too. There are then two floors, one with two bedrooms and the main bathroom, with the main bedroom having a lovely ensuite. The second floor has a sloping ceiling, our son is 6ft 2, and just managed - the bed can be made into a kingsize but being tall the headroom is restricted, but manageable. Beds are very comfy. Everywhere clean and well equipped. Location is great, quiet neighbourhood, with amenities close and a lovely street nearby with wine bars, artisan shops and breakfast eateries, in addition to York being a 10 minute walk including a beautiful walk by the river. Overall an excellent place to stay, with great hosts.

Lovely property

This is a lovely property in a really pleasant area which is very close to the centre of York and yet is quiet and peaceful. The property is very clean, well equipped and well presented with comfortable beds and furniture and everything is well maintained apart from a small issue with a bathroom door handle, which is the only reason for the lower rating in the condition category, We were very pleased with the provisions and treats that were left for us and the information provided is done so in a warm and welcoming way so you feel very much at home here. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Property, Great Host, Great Location

The property was perfect for all our needs, kitchen was lovely and beds and baths all spacious, modern and clean. The host helped us out right after we arrived as we were inept with Skeleton keys :-). The location was fantastic, with access to the city wall at the end of the street as well as access to the old city, museums, galleries and shops a short walk over the bridge. We absolutely recommend this property and our thanks to the host for their lovely home and and lots of great information. Joanne
