Winnipeg trip

Went for medical trip. Hotel was older but very nice and clean. Rooms are big with fridges, microwave and coffee makers. Pool is big and warm. Staff was very good. Only complaint might be complementary breakfast is very basic. No bacon and eggs. But from the price you pay, especially in winnipeg very good value. Recommend

Overall, glad we went, but I wouldn’t book again in a hurry. The hotel is very aged and run down. The pool area is great, and seems to be very well kept. However, the pool is the only real attraction here. In our room, the taps on the sink didn’t work, the toilet didn’t flush right, the bathroom countertops were rotten and the there were tears in the old carpet. Breakfast was only continental (toast & cereal etc), which we knew before booking, but most hotels now are offering a hot breakfast. The staff were excellent, very nice people. Even though the pool is a big attraction, there are other newer hotels in the area which I would recommend first. If you are going to stay here, book poolside rooms 110, 112 or 114. They are only ones which are truly ‘poolside’. It’s a good hotel, but it definitely needs some TLC.
