Poor choice using Hotels.com

I did not check in to the hotel in Waycross Georgia because I had tried without success to cancel my original booking with Hotels.com. Now Hotels.com has billed my credit card for a two-night stay when I didn’t even spend one night in the hotel. I was able to directly phone the Fairfield Inn Marriott in Waycross and re-book another stay for a different date. I hope to get a refund from either Hotels.com or from Marriott, but I fear I may have lost my money and will have to file a dispute for the charges with my credit card company. What a mess! Needless to say I will never use Hotels.com again to make a reservation.

At check in we waited for 10 minutes for the desk clerk to come out of the back room, Rooms are very small and it was very noisy from outside. At 6:10 the next morning we went down to breakfast. Coffee was cold and what little food there was was not very good.

Receptionist had a seriously bad attitude and kept trying to get me to pay for the second room even though I showed her the Expedia receipt for the 2 rooms. Trash bins near front entrance are overflowing Trash near entrance to building Trash bins in breakfast areas were full Breakfast hot servings were not stocked.
