AWESOME complementary breakfast buffet!

Other than the fact that this facility is a little dated, including quite broken shower head that water hardly came out, the hotel provided decent services at lobby, crib delivery, plumbing repair (even though it was for a different guest room that wrongly knocked on our room multiple times...lol), and did I mention the AWESOME complementary breakfast buffet?

The property was close to the metro so that was good for getting to DC fast and easy. They have a bar with 2 free drinks per person during happy hour but they marked off the wrong day on our vouchers and said oh don't worry I'll remember tomorrow then the server wasn't there the next day so we were SOL on our happy the 2nd night. The breakfast was good but the omelette station was a treat and I did appreciate that they had turkey sausage not just pork seeing as we don't eat pork. The room we were given had a view of the parking deck but it wasn't bad, the room was a good size and the bed was great. The pillows were awesome, big and fluffy not the tiny flat things you see in other places. Fresh towels everyday was a great treat. The pool was so so, it looked much larger online and it was only 4ft deep. We didn't stay long because too many kids. The elevator was an experience having 8 floors and 2 elevators there was a lot of waiting around check out time and on our last morning we got stuck for a few minutes on the way down and had to use the emergency call button and alarm to get us out. It didn't take too long to fix, only a few minutes but still didn't like it. Parking was cheap in comparison to other places and easy to pay for. There was plenty of space and I could see my car from my room.

The staff was very nice. Unfortunately, very difficult to understand them. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the room. Long dark hair stuck to the ceiling above the shower. Room clearly was not cleaned very well. Very dusty (shelves on desk/island, back of tv, etc.). Pillows were way to soft. Basically was sleeping on my arm all night. If I would have been staying more than overnight I definitely would have complained.

We were originally checked into a room that wasn't cleaned. This hasnt happened to me in over 10 years. >ts always a little startling , but they made it right Got all checked into a cleaned, larger suite with no issues. We're grateful.
