Very nice experience

We had a very nice experience at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo. First of all, customer service is really amazing. The staff is available all the time and allways willing to help. The only minus is that in the room the air was a bit humid ( I think due to the fact that the room was not oriented on the sunny side). But also in the room there was an air purifier. Breakfast was good, with a big variety. If we ever come back to Venice, we will stay there again.

Fabulous stay!

Stayed 2 nights in this beautiful old world hotel with my husband. The hotel is spotless and has all amenities you would require. Extremely comfortable bed. Beautiful toiletries provided in bathroom. All of the staff were very friendly but special mention to breakfast staff who were exceptional. Delicious breakfast from 8 am to 10 am each morning. The hotel stored our baggage for us the last day which allowed us to make the most of our time.

Hugely positive experience

Excellent 4 night stay at this hotel. The location couldn’t be better, just a minute’s walk from the water bus stop on the canal, yet it is very quiet. The staff are exceptionally helpful and our (superior) room was spacious, well equipped with a very comfortable bed. Very clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast is excellent- a self service buffet with a great variety of options including delicious pastries. A great find for us and if we return to Venice we will definitely stay here

Stay in Venice

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which was located in more of a local neighborhood rather than the busy city center of Venice. Check-in was fairly simple and professional. We had a smaller room but it got the job done. The hotel doesn’t have a lift, which can make things tricky when you have big suitcases. The breakfast was solid and they have rooms eat in shifts to prevent overcrowding.

Staff are really friendly and those in reception can’t do enough for you. Easy access from the hotel to the Rialto etc. Our room was well appointed, a lovely surprise with its old traditional wall covering, carpets and marble flooring. The bed was so comfy. Even has a fridge in the room. Breakfast in the courtyard is an added bonus … reception staff have a novel way to keep the pigeons away .. a water pistol!

Great walkable location close to a major vaporetto route and many museums/restaurants/attractions, yet a quiet respite from the crowds of Venice in summer. Notably, the back door of the hotel is a short walk to a vaporetto stop that does not require crossing a canal/going up and down bridge stairs with luggage. The hotel has no elevator - would be hard for someone with mobility issues to navigate. It is in a renovated historic structure, beautifully decorated in period furnishings but with modern amenities. Staff was uniformly pleasant, especially helpful with advising us on ferry/air transfers by boat. Breakfast is served in a charming courtyard,

We were in Venice for a short stay. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to a major Grand Canal vaporetto route. Notably, the walk from the vaporetto stop to the back door of the hotel is flat; it does not require walking up and down stairs with luggage! Many museums and attractions are within walking distance or only 1-2 stops away by vaporetto.The hotel itself is lovely with period decor, and a beautiful courtyard for breakfast. It does not have an elevator, and would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Staff was extremely helpful in advising us on getting around the city, arranging airport and ferry transfers, etc.

This hotel is located in a quiet area on the island of Venice. It was close to dining, shopping and the stop for the ‘vaporetto’, the water bus. The hotel itself is antique with modern conveniences, lots of beautiful character, lovely dining area ( inside and outside) and friendly staff. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!
