The Portego was centrally located with so many places to eat and drink. The hotel was safe and secure as well as very clean. The staff was super friendly. The bathroom seemed like it was recently remodeled and was very modern. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much.

This place was close to main streets for getting around Venice, but removed enough that it was very quiet at night. Air conditioning was a place, and very beautiful. I stayed in the room with a balcony and it was so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very kind staff and in a great location. Only trouble was finding the hotel, but just make sure to use the address on Expedia and not the Google maps locations (the hotel is next to a fruit vendor/store)!

Antico Portego Hotel Venice

The hotel was 10 minutes from the Venezia S. Lucia Main train station and the Freey pier to all major tourist sight seeing points. The room was quiet, cleanliness, eco-friendly. Only the bed was not comfortable. The lady helped us check in was friendly and helpful, we thank you for her service.

Nossa experiência no Antico Portego foi excelente e superou as expectativas. A localização é um dos grandes destaques: o hotel fica muito próximo da Estação Santa Lúcia, o que facilita bastante a chegada e a saída de Veneza, especialmente para quem está viajando de trem com malas. O quarto é aconchegante, com cama extremamente confortável, proporcionando uma ótima noite de descanso após um dia intenso de passeios pela cidade. O banheiro é moderno, bem equipado e impecavelmente limpo, oferecendo todo o conforto necessário. As instalações do hotel são muito charmosas, preservando a atmosfera típica de Veneza com um toque acolhedor. A equipe é atenciosa e prestativa, sempre disposta a ajudar com informações e recomendações. Recomendo fortemente a estadia no Antico Portego a quem busca uma hospedagem bem localizada, confortável e com ótimo custo-benefício em Veneza. Certamente voltaria a me hospedar aqui.

Romantiskt hotell med bra läge och service

Bra läge och enkelt att hitta. Charmig och gammal byggnad med trevliga rum. Servicen var otroligt bra och personalen väldigt vänlig. Vi hade tillgång till ett välfyllt kylskåp på rummet med drycker, öl och till och med en flaska bubbel – allt utan extra kostnad. De lät oss också lämna en kylklamp i deras frys. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera det här stället.

Was just ok, check in instructions were clear but upon arrival the keys were not located in the specified spot; luckily someone on site was able to provide us our keys. Room was good, was listed as a courtyard view but the only window in the room revealed a view of just a wall. Lots of mosquitos in the room. Other than that, the room was clean and there were great beverages made available to us.

The room and inside of the property were beautiful! One note for those booking a stay - there is no front desk! This felt less like a hotel and more like an airbnb. This was an issue for us as we were traveling all day and arrived at the location and could not get inside. We had to stand in the street repeatedly calling to try and get a hold of someone before they would give us the code to let us in. A bit frustrating after a long day of travel, but if you are prepared and speak with them before check-in this shouldn't be a problem. The beautiful room and thoughtful snacks/drinks made up for this, and we very much enjoyed our stay here! :)
