Exclusive time in Ubud

The hotel was stylish and well thought out down to the smallest detail, as the owner is an architect. There are only 20 rooms on the large property, which made for a relaxing stay. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

I cannot say enough about this property. Whatever your expectations are, they will be surpassed. My villa was upgraded to one with a private pool. There are only 20 villas on the entire compound, so the privacy is unparalleled. It is immaculately spotless, with an inclusive mini bar (with adult drinks) fruit everyday in the room, and brekky included. On my last day at breakfast I told Edi how much I adore snake fruit when he brought my fruit bowl. At the end of my meal, he brought out a full container of them to take with me. The property is enormous, and filled with statues, ponds, pools, rice paddies. There are swans you can feed, and so many covered areas to just lounge and relax. Do not miss this place. With the beautiful chaos of Ubud, it’s spectacular to return to this peaceful oasis at the end of the day.

There is nothing left to expect! Just when you thought that you experienced the pinnacle of grace and hospitality… there was just a little bit more from this remarkable property. Our second visit here and we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in Ubud. It’s moments to town and yet seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful, gracious and delicious. It’s honestly what you were hoping your Bali trip would be. It’s all right here.

While comfortable, to me, the room looked tired and definitely way past its prime. It was not particularly clean and had green mold in the water tank of the coffee maker. The staff really tried to provide excellent service but in my opinion lacked the training required for a 5 star experience. For a property of its size, I thought it was understaffed and many of the details I usually experience at this price were absent. The food and drinks were moderately expensive as would be expected at a 5-star facility but, I found the food to be mediocre. There were some great restaurants in town. Overall the whole experience was like a cruise ship. At almost $700 per day including food and drink charges it definitely was not worth it to me. It was still an ok trip if you are not budget conscious.They were unable to provide NONE of the VIP hotel.com gold member benefits including guaranteed late check out. I am not sure why that was promised on the site. For me, they over promised and under delivered.

The resort is beyond beautiful, relaxing, quiet, clean, wonderful service, delicious food. Nothing to complain about except maybe a lizard/gecko here and there. But only on the ceilings.
