Host was attentive but the amenities were poorly maintained. The "second kitchen was totally useless- defective faucet, molded ice maker, non-functional dishwasher. Broken can opener, not enough silverware, We were unable to change the HVAC temperatures in all the rooms- house was cold for some and hot for others. Broken cords on many of the blinds. NO ICE MAKER.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Lots of space and beautiful view. The downside is the house just felt run down. Several doors didn’t close very well. All of the screen doors were unusable which made the balcony hard to utilize. The top level was hard to cool down. They were responsive when we had issues with the air. We were just bummed on a house describing itself as a “mansion” to not be in the best shape. It’s also for sale which I found interesting for the state it’s in.

This is the perfect location for a large family or friends trip!!! The house has plenty of beds for everyone, a large stocked kitchen (there isn't a gadget, glass or dish you are missing) and plenty of space to congregate in the living area or the amazing rooftop patio. The location was less than a block to the beach and 2 blocks to bars and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and there is plenty of private parking (which is great in Tybee). The elevator in the house was helpful to get groceries to the top floor kitchen and suitcases to the bedroom level. The house was clean and very comfortable.

Beautiful and spacious house. Rooftop is a nice feature but can be windy and cool. Kitchen and living room area is spacious. Great location for beach access. Close to restaurants and shops. Elevator is nice especially when checking in and out and bringing in groceries. Property needs a couple of minor repairs (sliding bathroom doors and ice maker). Would definitely rebook.

The house had plenty of room for our family of 12, was well stocked and had a great location in terms of access to town, the beach and pool. Everyone really enjoyed the fluffy towels and rooftop deck- great views! However, there were a few major issues with the property. Upon arrival, the AC was not working on the main floor, but it was resolved by evening. Nevertheless, shouldn't this have been noticed and resolved when the house was being prepared for our arrival? Also, when we wanted the AC lowered to 70, we needed to request this change and did not have control of the thermostat which is something I haven't experienced in prior rentals. In addition, both the elevator and oven worked for only half of our stay and neither were fixed during our stay.We also couldn't get the stand alone ice maker to work and it appeared to need cleaning and maintenance.The freezer never reached the set temperature so ice cream and ice remained softer than usual.There were two refillable ice trays, but this was inadequate for 12 people and we had to purchase bags of ice. Southern Belle did respond to requests and sent out maintenance, but not an oven repair service.The elevator was never serviced and was needed due to the house layout. We felt these issues were unacceptable in a rental of this caliber. Clearly, some updates and maintenance are needed.Overall, we enjoyed our time with family, but our stay would have been more enjoyable without experiencing these issues.

east coast vacation

everything could have been excellent- except, pocket doors broke at bath rooms, could not close-manager never fixed master bedroom pocket door, finally fixed #2 bedroom door, , could not access bedroom balcony-screen broke in the closed position- manager finally fixed after couple calls, top deck door would not close allowing top floor bedrooms not to cool properly -manger emailed about this problem before arriving, said would be fixed, after a couple calls finally fixed, surprised these issues existed for price they charge for property

Moms 60th

We came here to celebrate my mom’s 60th somewhere we had never been. The convenience to everything on the island as well as the beach were perfect. The house was better than expected and had plenty of space for everyone. Island is definitely a little run down but if you’re just looking to enjoy the beach and relax this the place.

What a beautiful place

Girls Trip III - 2024. This is our 2nd time staying in Tybee Island. It was 9 women aged 60 to 78. We loved the accommodations at Oceanside Mansion. Very close to the beach, walking distance to the pier and restaurants. We really enjoyed the house. Having an elevator in the house made all the difference in the world to us. Thank you for having us.

Very pleased

My family and I stayed at this property for 4 days and we enjoyed every moment. Having an elevator was perfect for my mother in law. The rooms were great for everyone. The rooftop was perfect to enjoy sunset dinners. The property is also perfect walking distance to the beach and other stores/restaurants in the area.

Perfect for family holiday gathering

This place was ideal for our Thanksgiving holiday gathering of 12 adults. Very clean, very modern, well-equipped and mere steps to the beach. Multiple balconies a beautiful rooftop perfect for catching a sunrise or just general hanging out and enjoying the mild November coastal climate. Even the elevator (which I guess I missed in the description?) was a nice touch, saving the effort of transporting luggage and food up and down stairs. VERY helpful and responsive hosts, even on Thanksgiving day when one of our guests couldn't figure out how to operate the shower. It's a rental agency, but unlike others on Tybee, Southern Belle definitely has their act together, even proactively reaching out to see if everything was going smoothly and checking for maintenance issues. Highly recommend!

Wonderful family vacation

When arriving we were frustrated with a few items not working properly but the management company did their best to correct it. We wish roof speakers and electrical outlets were in working order for our movie nights but we improvised.

Elevator Not Working

Was disappointed that the elevator did not work or that no one could assist me in determining how to operate. We had a person in our party who would have benefited from not using the stairs. One of the reasons this property was selected was because of the elevator.

Great house, great location!

The house is beautiful and so functional for our 2 families to enjoy some time at the beach. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop grill and views of the ocean. The beach is close enough to walk back and forth throughout the day. We definitely recommend it, and hope to be back!

Perfect home. Perfect location.

This house and property manager made our friends trip to Tybee everything we could ask for. Walking distance from the beach is a major advantage with a group of people. The roof top area was huge allowing us to prepare and have dinner with ocean views on one side and beautiful sunsets on the other. We will be back!
