"We had a great stay here! The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were firm but comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one evening and it was excellent as well. The gym and sauna were really nice too. My only complaint would be that it was a bit noisy. We were in a room next to the busy road and park, so it was loud with traffic and some nightlife. That said, the hotel is in an excellent location near lots of restaurants, the park, and the metro. I would stay here again!"

"Our very last night in Uzbekistan, and with an early morning flight the following day, we chose to stay here. We received a warm, if not chatty, welcome upon arrival and were immediately escorted to our room. We advised reception we’d be leaving at 6am for the airport and they offered us a “lunchbox” breakfast — awww! Our room was massive, especially compared to the small family-run guesthouses we’d been staying in for the past week. It had a mini bar, laundry service … you name it, it had it! Excellent shower (very hot and even with a rain shower head!). Alas, the beds were super squeaky and the lights in the room were very challenging to figure out! It was also loud in the room — bumps from guests in rooms above and below, street traffic, airport noise……….but we still slept okay! One concern is that if you are traveling with children, note that the windows in the rooms open completely, and there is nothing to stop anybody climbing out or falling out. Eek! One thing we found odd was that upon checkout, we were not permitted to leave until they had “checked“ our room. I’ve never experienced anything like that before! In less odd news, the breakfast boxes they gave us were amazing!"

"Service can be a little inconsistent, but most staff are very polite. We booked an apartment. It was clean, but the unit itself has a little age to it, and could do with some refreshment. No ironing board in the room. No cleaning cloth or washing detergent so you can't really cook anyway. The outdoor pool needed maintenance. The gym is very basic if you are used to big commercial gyms. They made us pay for two cups we "broke", but it was the vibration of the kettle that broke the cups. So be a little mindful if you are boiling the kettle. If the cups are stacked onto each other like a pyramid, take note to place them away from the kettle, even though the cups and kettles are already in position in a pre-cut wooden holder. They will still break. It's just 50,000 uzs but it just feels odd to charge us for something we didn't purposely break, and it was already stacked like this by the housekeeper. The hotel is away from the city centre and our travel plans were a little derailed when we tried to take a taxi on one of the days where the Samarkand Challenge was going on. The roads were blocked and we couldn't get to the city at all. Otherwise, it's still not too shabby or expensive to take a taxi back and forth."
