Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The building is extremely old and poorly maintained, which immediately gives a bad impression upon arrival. The cleanliness was unacceptable — the bathroom had visible mold, which made it feel unsanitary and uncomfortable to use. The towels provided were greyish rather than white, clearly worn out and not properly cleaned. To make matters worse, the receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpful. It's unfortunate when staff show little regard for hospitality, especially when guests are already dealing with subpar conditions. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is convenient and central. However, that alone is not enough to justify staying here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and strongly suggest looking elsewhere for better value and comfort.

No-frills hotel in great location

The hotel is situation in the heart of Ximending so it's really convenient and fun for visitors. Despite the activities outside, the building is quite well insulated from the street noise. The hotel is quite basic, but the staff is very friendly. My (standard) room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a dining area on level 3 with FREE snacks, coffee and soft drinks!! Highly recommended if you are looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly hotel.

The hotel room is clean and the hotel is right in the centre of Ximending. You can bring your food back to eat at Level 3. It has good sound proofing so you can't hear the performances downstairs. However, there is no ramp (for elderly and luggage), there is only 1 lift and the hotel is a bit dated. To us the pros outweigh the cons so we enjoyed our stay there. Even though the hotel is dated, it's really clean and the location is very convenient.

It is located in the middle of a very fun and involving night market with plenty of entertainment and places to eat, live music and entertainment. Hotel building is an older one, you will get an actual metal door key for your room! But with that, be prepared NOT TO FLUSH toilet paper: there is even a sign there tells you not to. There is no microwave in hotel or your room, so have local convenience store heat your take out, but there is a refrigerator in the room.

this is right in the middle of action in ximending-the hip place in taiwan. the rooms are dated, but the location is super. in the 3rd floor they have a dining area where coffee, tea, juices in cartons are free, unlimited bottled water also. the staff speaks good english and attends to your concern. 15 minutes walk from taipei main station, or 5 minutes by taxi-cost around 150 nwt.

The hotel staff was really nice, they always greeted me upon entry and exit as long as they weren’t assisting other guests. Laundry service was quick and everything was laundered well. Location was central to everything in Ximendeng. The room itself was a bit small, but that was expected for a solo traveler. I enjoyed the free refreshments that they offered on the third floor, I’d always stop by for a cup of coffee and a milk tea box on my way out in the morning. I’d recommend this hotel for those looking to stay in this neighborhood and would happily book again if I were ever to visit again

Pros: - Like everyone says, it’s an EXCELLENT location. Smack dab in the middle of Ximending, and a short walk to the MRT station. Perfect for first time travelers like me, who could get a lot of shopping done in Ximending while being able to travel all around Taipei - Hotel offers pickup and drop off service at airport for around $30 USD each way. You could take the TPE metro, but it wouldn’t be a direct stop. The shuttle was affordable and convenient, and the ride was only about 40 minutes. I couldn’t imagine lugging all my baggage down those steps at the station! - Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you to the girl that was smaller than me but helped carry my biggest suitcase out to the shuttle van!! - 3rd floor is a guest “lounge” of sorts, with tables and free snacks and drink machines (including coffee and milk te!). Nice place to chill if you ordered delivery/takeout and want a full table to eat at. Cons: - The location is fantastic, but be warned you’re going to hear A LOT of street noise because of it. Street performers, billboards, and pedestrians. If you plan on only sleeping here, it shouldn’t be a big deal, but don’t expect to sleep in. - No hand soap in bathroom :(. Had to use shower gel. - Not exactly sound proof, could hear talking, coughing and sneezing next door at all hours of the day. Get ear plugs!
