Classic Lodges The Old Swan Hotel
"Nice reasonable sized clean double room and bathroom. Nice to have a room that wasn't boiling hot like most hotel rooms seem to be. Only thing I struggled with was getting cooler than hot water out of the shower, I'd have liked a cooler shower. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when I had questions, and they came back to me when I rang down to ask about timings of a wedding happening on day 2 of my stay. Thankfully I didn't hear the wedding party music at all, and each night was very quiet - helped by the hotel being in a more residential area than along a street with pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Poor offering of pastries, and on my last morning the hot buffet options were lacking. Compared with other hotels, it could be improved on. But bonus for having a toaster that actually toasts the bread! Location is great - walking is short to restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking (although £12 a day pains me to pay, but fairly standard in the area) Would definitely stay again"
