I believe because of the way the shower spaces are designed, mold collects easily. My first room had mold on the shower floor, doors, shutters (not sure why they chose to have the shutters inside the shower) and caulking. They were kind enough to move me to another room, which had much less mold. ...

Green Guest House Kagoshima - Hostel
Clean and convenient but noisy. The sounds from the street outside as well as other guests walking up the stairs and talking at night woke us up a few times. The walls are very thin. The porch was nice. Bed was not the most comfortable but not the worst.
