This cottage is an absolute hidden gem in Stuart. I stayed for a week and it was perfect for my needs. It’s a studio, so it’s great for a single visitor or a couple. Comfortable bed and a very well-appointed kitchen—small but mighty—with plenty of dishes, cookware, small appliances, coffee makers (Keurig with pods, and drip), sharp knives, silverware and extras (sugar, sweeteners, straws, wine opener, etc.) No dishwasher, but that was fine since I ate out lots and easily washed the minimal dishes I used. Christi & George were fabulous hosts! George greeted me to show me the lay of the land, including bicycles for my use (which I unfortunately didn’t get to use), laundry & their GLORIOUS garden and pathway to the fire pit area and a long dock, where you can walk out to watch the river. Lucky me… there was a nesting pair of ospreys on the next dock over! Literally 20 feet from our dock, where you could watch the parents fish and care for their young. Truly a great experience for nature lovers. The cottage is separate from the main house, so you come and go without bothering anyone. Great location to downtown Stuart; it’s only half a mile at most to all the shops and restaurants. The bathroom had one sink, good countertop space and a single shower (not too small) with good water pressure. Many extra towels, washcloths, amenities, drawer space, lots of hangers, & beach chairs, towels and cooler. This will be my go-to place whenever I visit Stuart again, as it was perfect for me!
