Good amenities close by, with award winning chip shop, excellent sea views & coastal path. Friendly welcoming host James, the caravan having a well equipped kitchen & comfortable beds. Really contributed to our enjoyable stay on the Isle Of Skye, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great host - accommodations as expected

James was an incredibly friendly and helpful host. The caravan was a bit aged but that was clear and as expected from the listing photos. There was actually more space than anticipated, we had 2 adults and 2 kids and it worked well for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The air freshener smell was a bit overpowering but we were able to have the windows open most of the time which helped.

Shabby caravan as a cashcow

If I was living on the Isle of Skye and having enough space around my house I would probably do the same: buying an old 2nd hand shabby caravan for a few thoussnd pounds, put it on my premises, connect it to gas water and electricity and asking Gbp 140.00 for a night. Succes ensured because I,m still one of the cheapest

It is very unhygienic place i had never stayed in my like full of dust and bedbugs bitten in my hand covered with shrubs when entering to the caravan, slippy in front of the front door and everything was unprofessional. Never ever go back

I have several complaints / suggestions for the owner of this caravan. Before we entered the caravan, we were greeted with very dirty mats, that and the side of the caravan could use a power wash.Once we entered the caravan, we were a bit overwhelmed with the smell of damp. To overcome that smell of 'damp', the owner opted to use one of those scented / aroma things that gets plugged into the mains. Horrible. The first thing I did upon entering, opened the windows to allow fresh air in and unplugged that aroma thing plugged into the mains.We were there for three nights and that odor never went away, it was always lingering in the air. If that wasn't bad enough, there was no coffee machine.The radiators could use a fresh coat of paint. This is an old caravan and was probably top of the line in the 1950s. There was plenty of room for our suitcases and we used the second bedroom to store them. The only good thing I can write, the location was excellent. This caravan has lots of potential but that smell of damp has to be removed, not covered up.

A Caravan, But Comfortable And Convenient

The Caravan is in a good location, in an easy walk to town. Yes, it has a view of the driveway, as in the photos, but you can also see the bay and mountains beyond. The heating is excellent, the beds are comfy and we felt very good here. The kitchen is reasonably well-equiped and is a bonus, as there are few good restaurant options near by. (Do drive up to Pizza in the Skye near Portree; a truck but outstanding pizza). Ideal for two, perhaps four would be a bit of a squeeze. It is an old caravan, maybe 50 years, so it is definitely 'of it's time' as should be expected. James was a really good host; friendly and available if necessary. He helped us with an item left behind, which we really appreciated.

Family trip to Scotland

We knew it wasn’t going to be a fancy place, but was pleasantly surprised to find more room than I imagined. Nice size living room with Tv and lots of DVDs to choose from. Were able to make food in the kitchen. Two separate bedrooms for us two couples. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Friendly host. We were pleased to find an affordable place on Skye when all else was booked.

Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeit zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Homemobil ist für vier Erwachsene schon sehr eng. Leider ist die Unterkunft von außen sehr ungepflegt,sowohl das Home wie auch drumzu.Das Home selber hätte dringend eine Generalreinigung von innen nötig. Es waren noch dicke Fettspritzer an den Schränken und Fliesen im Herdbereich. Die Schränke sind auch schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt worden. Im Bad war soweit alles sauber, nur an den Fensterleibungen sind Stockflecken und der Wasserhahn ist zu klein und lose. Die Betten waren gut und sauber. Schade,so war man froh,nur zum Schlafen da sein zu müssen

La experiencia en la caravan estuvo increíble, todos los servicios de agua, internet luz estuvieron funcionando muy bien. La caravan es algo vieja y me parece que le vendria bien una limpieza a la alfombra y los muebles. La recomiendo mucho para los viajeros.

El alojamiento es tal cual como sale en las fotos y James responde con rapidez y amabilidad. Sin embargo, nuestra experiencia ha sido un poco decepcionante porque la primera mañana amanecimos con picaduras que pensábamos que eran de mosquitos, pero la segunda mañana, despues ya de dejar el alojamiento, seguían saliendo esas picaduras y nos hemos dado cuenta de que se trata de chinches. Por lo demás, el entorno es muy bonito y hay muchas tiendas y servicios cercanos.
