Weekend break

We were in a 'cosy' room at the far end of the hotel which meant it was generally quiet. Disappointed that there was no carpark or vouchers for the local parking so a 2 night stay had an additional charge for carpark that we weren't expecting. There was no information about this when we booked. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order.

Good and bad

Location was perfect for shopping and restaurants. Our room was OK, bed was comfortable. We were given a handicap room next to the elevator, which we did not request or need. The bathroom was large but when taking a shower water was everywhere in the bathroom. The voice in the elevator could be heard in our room every time some one used it and overall the room was small and very dark, even with lights turned on. I did appreciate the history of the building and the breakfast was delicious.

Absolutely stunning room with one of the nicest bathrooms I've ever had in a hotel (we stayed in a deluxe room). Breakfast was great, location was walkable to everything we wanted to visit. Did I mention the bathroom? Massive copper bath and a big shower.

I wish we had stayed at this hotel for more nights while visiting the Cotswolds and Stratford instead of booking another hotel in between Bath and here. Our room was recently redone, very clean and comfortable. Parking was across the street, literally just feet from the hotel.

We’ve stayed here before. Rooms are comfortable. Air conditioning is quiet. Breakfast is pretty good with quite a variety of cooked options. Easily walkable to Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Good stay

We had a good stay at The White Swan. The standard room which we booked was smaller than I expected but I checked with the receptionist as I thought they may have given us a 'cosy' room by mistake; she confirmed it was a standard. It was closed to everything we needed. Breakfast was good. We went out for dinner so can't comment on that.

A fun ovrnight in Stratford

An amazing hotel. Very clean and well maintained with lots of intersting touches such as the quotes by each door. Excellent facilities in the room which was very comfortable and very clean and tidy. Staff were very polite and helpful and the food was really good. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful cosy room with air conditioning working but the plumbing in the bathroom needs fixing. The hot tap has a very loud rumble and the shower takes ages to drain, I was worried it was gonna overflow out onto the floor

Beautiful property but they got my meals slightly wrong each time and the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly and I couldn’t control it from the room but they put a heater in the room for me
