East Beach getaway

This was a great home base for our beach vacation on St. Simon’s Island. The kids has as much fun in the house and pool as they did at the beach!

The pictures are accurate. The house was clean, close to the beach and had everything we needed. Communication with the Host was easy with quick response. This house was perfect for our family of six adults, a toddler and an infant.

Beautiful home

One of the prettiest homes we have ever rented. Spacious and comfortable, even better than the pictures. Beautifully decorated. The pool and fire pit really made this place ideal for our family. We hope to visit again.

Outstanding Home

My family had a wonderful stay in this home. Home was very clean, great pool area and enjoyed the enclosed porch. Kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. Home is close to the beach. It's is a great house and we would stay here again.

Lovely vacation home

This home is beautiful! We had everything we needed and more. The pool and back porch were our favorite hangout spots! Just a short walk to East Beach (the sixth street access worked better for us) It was not too far from the pier or places to eat either. Would stay here again for sure!

Great family space

The home was amazing! Beautiful rooms and close to beach and shops. Only issue we had was some shower fixtures need maintenance. Our family truly enjoyed games at home, the great kitchen and bonfire, and the short walk to the beach. Would have lived the pool but weather didn't cooperate ha ha

Great visit to SSI!

We really enjoyed our stay at Delahunt Cottage. It was decorated nicely and in great condition. The back porch was great to enjoy a meal and the pool was very much enjoyed by the kids. It was a bit easier to utilize the 6th street beach access to get onto the beach. We were sad to leave. Looking for another opportunity to visit again. Thank for having us!

An amazing pool house in St. Simons Island

What an amazing home! The location is perfect: a few steps from the ocean and a short bike ride to all of the shops and restaurants. The house is beautifully furnished and the beds are so comfortable. I really enjoyed sitting by the pool in the evening sipping on a glass of wine. I will book this amazing house again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us. I had a wonderful stay.

Great Family Vacation

Lovely home, spacious rooms, nice pool and fire pit. The pool polaris was broken and pool wasn't clean upon arrival, let them know and it got fixed ASAP. Located at the closest location of the beach area. Nice location to ride our bikes, we loved it!!

Home away from home!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here! Very clean, comfortable, and nice. The beach was not far at all. The pool was clean and a good size for our family. The only constructive feedback I have is that the shower knob was broken in the master bedroom and looked like someone glued it back on but not a good glue job.

Charming neighborhood with amenities all within 2 miles. Being able to walk to the beach was so convenient. Pictures of house didn't do it justice.... much prettier in person. And of course the pool and firepit were a huge plus for my husband and daughter. Management was super helpful and quick to respond. Will be back for sure!

Word of Caution

The home was lovely however the location has quite a bit of construction going on which starts early in the morning and continues throughout the day. Additionally the mattresses could use replacement. As to Lighthouse Management which manages the property, we found them very unresponsive and not forthright regarding issues in the house, We were not informed that there was no functioning oven until we were ready to put what we planned on cooking into the stove. That's when we discovered that the oven was broken. When we contacted Lighthouse to inform them that we had an issue, they told us that they had known about it, had ordered a new oven which was on back order. If this had been told to us in the beginning we would have worked around the issue instead of discovering it when we wanted to use it. There is also a high degree of inflexibility in the check out time. Our flight time was changed back by four hours, I tried contacting the management 3 days ahead of checkout, left messages, never got a call back and when I finally got through to them, they held firm on a 10:00 am checkout. Noon is typically the normal timeframe. It left us with a cranky four year to entertain for 2 hours instead of using the pool. I would not recommend Lighthouse Management and the location of this house.

Delahunt Cottage Family Vacation

The layout of the house and location to the beach were perfect. We spent mornings at the beach and afternoons by the pool. (We had four little ones under 4.) The only issues we had were that the microwave and oven didn't work. A service person came to look at it but couldn't do anything at the time to fix it due to a parts/age issue. A microwave was brought out. The house could have been a little better stocked with things like towels and a few kitchen items. We had to have the maintenance team bring out a broom and dust pan. Would have been great to have beach chairs available to use too. These things were minor to us. We totally relaxed and enjoyed St. Simons Island, GA.

Great stay in East Beach

Awesome amenities and location in SSI’s East Beach. A 5 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to a variety of restaurants. Great property overall.

Delahanty Cottage - St. Simons Island

Very nice house in a good location, only a five minute walk to the beach. The house is nicely furnished and has a great screened in porch on the backside. In this area, the houses are pretty close together, so there isn’t a lot of privacy. This was accentuated while we were there, because houses on both sides were being significantly renovated with lots of construction noise. Like many rental houses, there were ample glasses, plates, cookware, etc. but no condiments, so you should bring those.

Great stay!

This is an amazing house and property!! It was perfect for a larger family! Our only issue with the whole stay was the internet. It constantly disconnects everyone and was out for a portion of our stay. But overall the property is wonderful!!
