Friendly helpful staff and excellent restaurant with fresh local fish and veg. Large selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Superb pool and spa facilities. Twin room a bit small with little space to move around and for luggage but comfortable beds. Daily shuttle to St Helier taking 5 mins into town.

Being situated on a hill one has to accept that there are 50 steps from the road outside to the reception. Parking is tight in the town centre so your shuttle service is to be commended. Having a tv room with sky sports would be good especially on raining cold days.

pillows /beds a bit hard which we had changed to softer pillows & a soft mattress topper! pool spa area was wonderful!! service in restaurant to be honest was a bit of a farce breakfast food not topped up very quickly, service was hit & miss the main restaurant itself had no atmosphere, being if the quality it’s meant to be we thought it might actually be a relaxing experience I felt I was sat having an evening meal in a students canteen far too bright for an evening not a relaxing dining experience!! for an evening meal , these matters were all bought up with feedback to management!! another you’d point is that it was only a 5min walk to town, shuttle does not run on a Sunday or B/holiday although this did not effect us but I would say if you had problems with mobility it might be a bit exhausting for you especially as it would be a bit steep going back up to the hotel & the shuttle in hoes 4 times finishes @ 4.30

This is a lovely Spa hotel. It's in easy walking distance of the town centre and also runs a free shuttle bus. There is a steep climb from the road to the hotel entrance to be aware of but the rest of the walk is flat. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel if you do not have a car. There is a good breakfast buffet selection and the time we ate in the Terrace restaurant the food was very good and the service excellent. There is an underground carpark and we had no problems parking although it can get quite full at times. The spaces are however quite small. We had a classic double room which was reasonably spacious but just a note the shower was over the bath which may be an issue for some people. It is generally a very quiet hotel but the room soundproofing could have been better and we were perhaps unlucky to be opposite the lift however there was never any prolonged noise. The indoor pool and Spa facilities are excellent and the hotel has lovely gardens. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Pool and Spa were lovely but the staff were the hilight. Always friendly, smiling and helpful. Beautiful older style hotel with my only real gripe was the creaking of the floorboards on the stairs and corridors. Woke me up early mornings.

I loved the ambience of Hotel De France, very welcoming staff and the food is excellent. The only quibble I have is with the shower in the bedroom. The pressure on the shower was poor. Other than that I had a fantastic week at The Hotel 😀😀

Really nice hotel, superb pool facilities, unfortunately we didn’t have time to use these but will be back to use them next time. Only negative thing was the room being too warm, although a fan is supplied there is not a twin socket, it’s either tv on or fan on, unless you move the fan but you wouldn’t feel as much off its benefits.
