Le Petit Bijou se encuentra en la ciudad provenzal de Saint Rémy-de-Provence, en el sur de Francia, y es propiedad del autor Vicki Archer. La casa está inspirada en el espíritu de los libros de Vicki '' My French Life '' y '' French Essence ''.

Le Petit Bijou se sometió a una restauración de dos años dirigida por el talentoso arquitecto local Hugues Bosc y ha sido decorada por Vicki con muchas piezas de brocantes locales.

Vicki ha creado algo que funciona para aquellos que desean descubrir Provenza de una manera elegante. Le Petit Bijou se trata de proporcionar un retiro sumamente cómodo después de un día de descubrimiento en la región.

Le Petit Bijou es una casa de pueblo de dos pisos con aire acondicionado, sala de estar y comedor en la planta baja con cocina conectada, tocador para invitados y un vestíbulo. La primera planta consta de un dormitorio principal y un dormitorio doble. La habitación doble se abre a una terraza con vistas al jardín del histórico Hôtel de Sade y los tejados del pueblo. Hay un WC separado y un baño con ducha y bañera en el primer piso.

Le Petit Bijou apareció en la edición de agosto de 2014 de '25 Beautiful Homes '.

Le Petit Bijou está justo en el centro de Saint Rémy-de-Provence, en el recinto histórico, cerca del Musée des Alpilles y el Hôtel de Sade. Está en una calle tranquila junto a la rue Carnot con sus restaurantes, una pastelería y un restaurante. mercado de los miércoles de Saint-Rémy está a sólo unos cientos de metros de distancia. La espectacular cordillera Alpilles y el hermoso pueblo de Eygalieres están cerca.

Saint Rémy-de-Provence es un brillante punto de partida para Aviñón, Aîx-en-Provence, Arles, Maussane-les-Alpilles, Marsella, Nimes y la Camarga. La abadía de Luberon, Gordes y Sénanque, con sus campos de lavanda, está a unos 50 minutos.

En tren: está a 20 km y 25 minutos en coche de la estación de tren rápido TGV a las afueras de Aviñón. El TGV opera directamente a Aviñón desde Londres en los meses de verano y desde París durante todo el año.
En avión: está a 75 km y unos 55 minutos en coche del aeropuerto de Marsella Provenza. Hay vuelos diarios a Marsella desde Londres por British Airways, EasyJet y Ryanair y por Air France desde París. XL Airways opera un servicio de Nueva York a Marsella. El aeropuerto más pequeño de Aviñón (20 km y 20 minutos) es servido por Flybe desde Southampton.

Summer holiday in St. Remy-de-Provence

We were three adults (one couple plus a friend), and we were very comfortable during our 10-day stay. Le Petit Bijou is in a perfect location-within the town center, but also extremely quiet and peaceful. It was so lovely and quaint, in fact, that passers-by were constantly taking pictures of the facade! However, there was plenty of room and privacy within the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were luxurious and plentiful. Patricia, the concierge, was attentive, helpful, and friendly.

Our stay in St. Remy was perfect. The house is beautiful and in an ideal central location. All the amenities were provided, and the property manager was exceptional. She was very helpful and always available. We look forward to returning in the future!

Great Provence Vacation

We totally enjoyed our time spent in Provence and specifically at Le Petit Bijou. We spent our days sightseeing and returned mid afternoon to enjoy the comfort of the home. We especially enjoyed our evening/afternoon cocktails on the small balcony off the guest bedroom. The TV has every channel you need to watch shows and movies in english. We were not impressed with the internet speed. You could not access the internet upstairs. The parking is not allowed near the home. But it is only a 4 minute walk to a city parking lot with free parking. Restaurants, cafes and most importantly to us, a bakery is very near. We were very pleased with our choice for our Provence vacation. Thank you David, Vicki and Patricia the house manager.

Once in a Lifetime

We have visited St Remy a number of times, but staying at Le Petite Bijou made it a trip my husband and I will never forget. Every thoughtful choice and accommodation was chosen by the Archers to provide a unique blend of luxury and comfort. In the middle of town, and yet you feel as though you are in the countryside. And House Manager, Patricia, responds to any requests with lightening speed so as not to disrupt any plans you have. Treat yourself.

A truly perfect location and a beautifully appointed house with everything you need!

It is right in the heart of Saint Remy de Provence, and you can easily walk to everything. The house is also very quiet, tucked back just behind the square. A peaceful clean oasis but close to restaurants and shops. We visited many of Provence's beautiful villages, and this was a perfect home base. We will be back.

Ideal…hated to leave

The property was better than expected. But where it was located and finding the property manager…. Who did NOT know we were coming was a nightmare. Owner did not relate to manager. If it weren’t for a restaurant owner who knew the manager and had said previous problems he had noticed… we would NEVER have located the property!!! Thank God we found the wonderful property manager by a phone call via the restaurant owner!!

A Little Gem

Wonderful property! Location was perfect. Pleasant and responsive manager! Just what we expected. Small for two couples but great for girls or one couple. Parking was a challenge like every place in St Remy but manageable. We would highly recommend Petit Bijou! You will love it!

Absolutely lovely home in St Remy. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights on a recent girls trip. We didn’t want for anything. The decor and amenities were perfect. The home is walking distance to everything in St Remy and so quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A chic respite right in town

This beautiful home is right in the center of medieval St. Rémy, with grocery, patisserie, and restaurants a 5 min. walk. Two bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, the kitchen had all modern essentials, laundry supplies were available, and my 80 year old parents appreciated the walk-in shower (while I claimed the clawfoot bath). Many unexpected treats were also kindly included, such as exquisite bath oil, shampoo, etc., candies, a bottle of wine, and fresh milk for the Nespresso machine. The manager is delightful and most attentive. She doesn't speak English, but is a dab hand with her translator app, and we were able to communicate fine. We also learned how to translate emails, so that was a good skill to acquire. This chic, comfortable respite is on our list of "must return".

I can't say enough about how amazing this property and stay was. It exceeded expectations - perfect location and wonderful host. I wish we had extended our stay here vs moving on to the next. It has been my favorite stay so far - I would come back here in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it - you will not be disappointed!

Le Petit Bijou is indeed a JEWEL!!

Our family (husband, myself, daughter and son-in-law) trip to Provence included a stay at Le Petit Bijou which we used as our home base. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations and location of the apartment. The apartment was modern and yet, at the same time, quintessentially French in a shabby chic way. It was abundantly stocked and came with extras that most short-term rentals do not supply such as four (4) robes, soaps, room candles, and an abundant supply of teas and Nespresso coffee pods in various flavors. There were five (5) beautiful live white orchids spread around the unit and plenty of lovely books to browse. Even before we arrived, the generous hospitality started with owner David Archer assisting with dinner reservations. Then during our stay, Patricia, who welcomed us at check-in, texted daily to insure we were having a pleasant time in sassy St. Remy. The food market was a stone throw away and could not have been more convenient for keeping the refrigerator stocked. The shops and restaurants were all with-in walking distance.. The rental description of Le Petit Bijou was completely accurate and should boast even more about what a little jewel it is! We hope to return to St. Remy and would definitely rent again! Merci! Patricia, the house manager, met with us upon arrival & departure. She is an absolute delight! The property is in the very heart of St. Remy. The property owners were most helpful in answering questions & arranging airport transfers. We felt as if we were living like locals. What a gem!

Maison et emplacement idéal

Très belle maison, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et d'élégance. On si sent très bien. Emplacement idéal, et très calme. Hôtesse de maison très sympathique, au petit soin. Unique petit bémol, pour garer la voiture, il aurait été mieux de conserver le garage plutôt que de le transformer en patio qui ne sert pas.

Siamo stati a st Rémy de Provence e abbiamo alloggiato a Le Petit bijou, una casa tipica del paese in pieno centro. Ci ha accolti il ns referente Patricia che e’ stata efficiente nella guida , gentile e disponibile. La casa e’ impeccabile e completamente ristrutturata di recente, con finiture di pregio ad un livello decisamente sopra allo standard. Nulla e’ lasciato al caso,dalla cucina fornita di tutti gli elettrodomestici e con stoviglie ricercate, alle camere arredate con poltrone Luigi XVI e lenzuola di lino ricamato per il letto. Il bagno principale, oltre alla doccia ha una magnifica vasca in ghisa. Delizioso il terrazzino con vista sui tetti. Ovunque si trovano(con grande fiducia dei proprietari verso gli ospiti) oggetti preziosi comprati nei mercatini locali e libri di ogni genere ed interesse, molti di questi antichi. Per chi vuole vivere un soggiorno in una dimora di lusso nell’assolata Provenza.
