I liked the easy close parking to the building. I liked the beachside pool. I liked the full kitchen, so I could put all our food & leftovers in the frig. The hot tub was not working properly (the jets kept turning on & off randomly). The location is close to everything on the strip. SR 669 is minutes away to take you into St Pete interior communities.

Although the staff was very good, the room was a disappointment. I booked a King suite with a Gulf view (I spoke to a hotel representative before the trip and obtained the room number 4545) the room we were given was different. The patio door wouldn’t open the front room door wouldn’t latch properly. The microwave didn’t work (they gave us a counter top one where the clock didn’t work. You could have pushed a piece of toast under the room door, the shelf in the bathroom that was meant to hold towels was gone. When you use a third party booking service (in my case Expedia) the property is less willing to resolve issues. Shout out to the Rum Runners staff especially Dominick and thanks to Mark and Derek at the front desk

Well I didn't get to stay there. When I arrived I went to check in. I was told my card was being charged for $150 and when they tried to charge my card I was told it didn't work and to try it again so I did again it didn't work. They didn't tell me my card was declining they told me it didn't work. So I tried a different card it also didn't work. I checked my accounts and found both accounts with no money. There was two charges of $542 on one card and $186 charge on my other card but according to the hotel everything declined and they didn't charge me. So that totally ruined my weekend and my only chance to attend my high school reunion. Extremely not happy.

If you are planning to stay in a room that looks like a motel 6 in 60-s with carton walls that if you’re lucky, you’ll have quiet neighbours Not in my case and when I called lobby at 3am no one has answered for an hour. So I packed and left this so called hotel. Oh and if you want to eat at one of their restaurants prepare to wait for an hour as they don’t have their own kitchen

Underwhelming

I don’t know where to start. I would like to say positive things about the beach and the pool. Everything else was below expectations. We are Floridians that spent one night in the hotel. The hotel let us use the amenities of the hotel and the beach before check-in, which was nice but not atypical for a “resort”. However it was frustrating to pay a $40 resort fee and also have to rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for $56 or a cabana for 120. Typical beach resorts will include the hotels beach chairs. The room itself was spacious but very outdated with a lot of cosmetic issues like deep groove scratches in the floor from a pullout bed and very dirty small bathroom. The bed was typical for a hotel. The room was on the end of a hallway and it was extremely loud. Every time someone went by, we heard them and we heard maintenance pushing carts constantly. We also were required to pay $25 a day for parking but the parking spots were very small and we were concerned about our car getting dented. We also came back from a night out in Ybor city to find zero parking we had to ask hotel staff where we could park without getting towed, we were directed to a space in front of a gate that doesn’t open. Paying for parking with no parking is unacceptable. The elevators were very hot and there was water on the floor. After paying the hotel rate and tax plus $40 resort fee and $25 for parking we spent $450 and it was very underwhelming. We will definitely not be staying here again.

I had pay for a king but they gave me a double bed. After doing all that walk I had to go back to the front desk to get a different room that I had pay for. But overall the hotel is very nice and very accessible to the beach.
