We were amazed at how great the Royalton was!! Some of the reviews are a little concerning but we took a chance and had a fantastic vacation. We travel all over the world but would definitely make time in our travel itinerary to return to the Royalton Antigua. It was by far one of our best vacations. Food was excellent- the buffets(we had breakfast and lunch and the lunch especially had a lot of delicious healthy options), Hunter steakhouse, Scores, Grazie, desserts were great all around especially the cheesecake(and we’re from NY), chocolate cake apple pie. Coffee and gelato shop was always a pleasure to go to. We didn’t try the Caribbean restaurant this trip but it looked good too. The pool is lovely(one of the pools was closed for renovation) and the small beach was really very nice. We didn’t go to the gym or spa. Gift shop had a nice selection too. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The parts of the property we saw were clean. Someone was always cleaning. The majority of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The bell staff, cleaning staff, gift shop and restaurant staff(shout out to Hazelden in the buffet who always had a smile and was so nice to talk to) were all kind, attentive and helpful. Property lit well and we felt safe. Incredible, memorable vacation we’ll always cherish and hope to return soon. We can’t say enough good things and don’t get some of the more negative reviews but we can only speak from our experience.
