Our host was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived and she was there to greet us. The cabin was very clean and a small loaf of homemade banana bread was waiting to welcome us to our stay. She let us use her golf cart to cruise along the coast and get beautiful pictures of the bridge. The property was gorgeous and well taken care of. Unfortunately we had to cut our vacation short but enjoyed our time while we were up there.

This was one of the best VRBO experiences we've had - great host, outstanding location, comfortable accommodations. Everything we needed was readily available, the furnishings were comfortable, and Mary Lynn is an excellent host. She left us homemade banana bread and allowed us to use her golf cart to be able to see the shoreline at sunset. We would highly recommend this to our friends, and won't stay anywhere else if we return to the area.

The pictures are a little misleading because this house is a duplex. The interior photos were accurate and the apartment looks great inside. There was a mildewy smell coming from the living room couch and my wife was very sensitive to the smell. The shower is also just a corner shower and quite small for a big guy like me. The water is well water and had a strong sulfur smell that lingered on me after a shower. We ended up getting a hotel room and left two days early due to the smells. The property is well maintained and there is a golf cart the host let us use to go to the bridge view park. It is quite secluded and on a private road.

We arrived to our beautiful rental greeted by a lovely card, banana bread and other treats. The directions for the property and check in were very easy to follow. The area is very peaceful and we were able to take a walk down by the lake and view the bridge. Mary Lynn communicated very well and has the home well stocked and very clean. We love the area, it’s a beautiful property and would highly recommend

This is definitely a tranquil retreat. Mary was very sweet, friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is only a block or so from Lake Michigan. You can actually see the lake through the trees from the kitchen window. You can hear the waves when you step outside. It is a beautiful country setting but minutes from downtown St. Ignace. A short walk or drive gives you great views of the Mackinaw Bridge. We would stay here again.

If you want to have an amazing vacation, then absolutely choose this location! Mary Lynn is the most wonderful host we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She is an awesome communicator, is beyond friendly, and is very accommodating to any requests or questions you may have. The check-in process was very smooth. We received our information a few days in advance, and everything was exactly as had been outlined. The keyless lock is a great thing - no worrying about accidentally locking yourself out or losing keys! The property itself is fantastic. It is located on a very quiet road - there are only two houses. From the kitchen window, you can see a teaser of Lake Michigan through the trees, and it's not even a five minute walk to get to the water's edge (which has an amazing view of the Mackinac Bridge). The cottage is wonderful. The kitchen is very large, and with a double oven, I was thinking I wish I could come back to bake cookies for Christmas with all that available space! LOL But the cottage is very cosy and comfortable, and we loved every minute of our stay there. It would be nice to come back in colder months to be able to make use of the electric fireplace! _We could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but just go and rent it for yourself! You won't be disappointed in the least!

Exemplary Beautiful Home!!!

Stayed here with my mom while we explored the area. This home is so beautiful, wonderfully maintained, the host has personal touches all over the house that will make your stay here just wonderful! From homemade rhubarb bread, to a chocolate bar, to a book written about the owner's husband you will just love this place! Can't say enough good about it! Must stay here again!

The place was very nice, however, it did have a musty smell. Photo is deceiving. I thought we would be staying at a place with a big porch.Having access to a golf cart at no additional cost was a nice extra.Mary Lynn was welcoming. She was glad to see us.

Great location

The location and our stay were great! The host was extremely welcoming and the perfect host! It is close to the beach, and to the St Ignace ferry to Mackinac Island which we preferred over the busier Mackinaw City port. The house was roomy with lots of amenities. The gardens were beautiful in July and it was a very quiet setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Great "Up-North" Cottage

This charming VRBO was exactly as advertised! It was located in a very quiet area yet was only a short drive to downtown. It was clean, modern, and very obviously well taken care of. There was plenty of room for my husband and me.
