Great Property!

We really enjoyed the location and views of the property - you just cannot beat the convenience of this location to Vilano Beach or St. Augustine. Plenty of space to spread out and accommodate a large group of people. Only two minor drawbacks: the A/C was not consistent in the bedrooms, which were modestly warmer at night, and the kitchen was not as well equipped (pots and pans) for as large as it is. Otherwise we had a great time, the hosts were reasonably responsive, and the views and location are unmatched.

Family memories made!! Beautiful home..great location!

We had a lovely stay at this home!! Certainly plenty of space for our family…we had our kids and grandkids here with us and we all enjoyed the beach, the area, and our accommodations. We definitely had some issues in the beginning but very pleased and impressed with the response from the management team and the owners. We highly recommend staying here!!

Our wedding

We had 18 folks staying for the weekend. Beach was amazing. Bedrooms and bathrooms were good, clean and up to date. Could have had more hot water. Simple fix to turn water heater temps up. Kitchen was large. Range is inadequate for cooking. It looks nice, but function is mediocre. Just not functioning properly but owner tried to get it right. For catering food for parties it is excellent. Living spaces were good. Furnishings could use a little updating. Would recommend staying here.

Great place for large groups and cooking together.

This home was one of three we rented for the week leading up to our daughters wedding. It was definitely the place everyone migrated to throughout the day because of the openness, plenty of seating and of course the beautiful view. We enjoyed cooking together everyday and even celebrated Thanksgiving as a family. Its a wonderful place and the hosts were very responsive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone capable or comfortable with stairs. No elevator and no bathroom on the top floor did present challenges for the older family members, but we managed just fine.

Great Time in a well equipment property

My mother's side of the family have been vacationing together once a week for my entire 48 years of life. We have stayed in a lot of houses over the years. This is by far one of the better properties. It's a well thought out floor plan, 16 people in the house at one time does not feel crowded. The kitchen is designed to cook for and clean for that many people. The owner provides plenty of silverware, utensils and pot/pans. We had a great time here and have already booked the house again for next year.

Greatest House Ever!

We've been enjoying family beach trips for almost 20 years and this year's home was absolutely our family's favorite! It was said by several of us over and over during our week's stay, "This House is the Best Ever! " Having the private bedrooms for each couple and additional ones for cousins to bunk in made it so comfortable for everyone. The top floor kitchen/dining/living space will live forever in all of our memories. We were blown away by our first site of this most amazing space. The enormous island, multiple dining tables, dishwashers, sinks and refrigerators, made our many family meals for 18 a breeze. The living space adjoining the kitchen area was so well designed and furnished comfortably for one or several conversations and relaxation. The multiple decks were perfect for morning coffee, cocktails at sunset or just people and kite watching. And on the ground floor, the kids especially loved the pool/pingpong table and shuffleboard game. The downstairs kitchen was so convenient for our night time grilling on the shaded patio while kids cooled their sunned soaked bodies in the pool. We especially appreciated the many beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, canopy and beach boards there for us to make use of. The beach itself is so close and convenient to the house. It was easy to take short breaks back to the house for a snack and then hit the sand again. The Publix was well stocked and within a just a couple of miles. We knew little about San Augustin before last week, but now can heartily recommend exploring this gem of history and culture. I may have forgotten other great details, but I can say without hesitation that it was a 5 star experience to stay in this home.

Perfect

All around great set up. Close to perfect for us. We had a large group of family and friends. Top floor is very well equipped for preparing meals for large groups. We had 23 people for Easter Dinner. Tons of room. That floor is apx 2100 sq/ft of openness. Top floor was a great area for everyone to hangout. Playing cards etc. Views are incredible. 2nd floor. All the bedrooms were comfortable as the bathrooms were also. Tons of hot water for such a large group. 1st floor. Pool table n ping pong table were a nice touch. Kitchen area was nice. Great location on the beach. Pretty quiet. Easy beach walk to a few eateries. Publix was a couple minutes by car. A few shops in that area also. Hopefully we’ll be going back in a couple years.

Great Beach with Entertaining first floor

We had an extended family vacation that included four families. The organization of the house was absolutely fabulous. The top floor was the gathering spot for meals and relaxing and the first floor was a great gathering spot for shooting pool and in/out from the beach. The first floor kitchen was great for storing extra drinks/food when we were on the beach. The bedrooms, all located on the second floor, with the hall baths were great for getting everyone moving in the morning. We also took a few days to tour St. Augustine and drop into a few of the many pubs while shopping. Great vacation spot! Absolutely beautiful property and beach!

Absolutely Amazing Views

Don't question staying at this house just book it--you will not regret it. What a spectacular house and the views from the first and second floor balconies/decks are the best. The property manager/owner was very responsive anytime we had a question. Also, if you love to cook this is the house for you. The third floor kitchen has everything you could need to whip up a gourmet meal even if you are not a gourmet chef. We loved our stay here!

Excellent family space

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for the week. The enormous common area upstairs made spending time with all the family easy and comfortable. We liked the decor and furniture, and the beachfront location right over the bridge in Vilano Beach cannot be beat. The only downsides related to the kitchen. The AGA range was in need of maintenance; the larger burners did not work properly and we could only get one oven to warm up, the “main” oven. The convection fan did not run, and we did not think it ever reached cooking temperature so we were grateful for the second Whirlpool oven next to it, which worked beautifully. There was an abundance of refrigerators, though someone had left a tray of paint with a dirty roller in the refrigerator in the downstairs kitchen, so we did not use that refrigerator. Otherwise a perfect place for the family, and the kids really loved the pool, too!! WiFi was fine, and though only the bar area television had true cable, we were able to use a Hulu login for the other common area television so that was not a problem. We would definitely rent again, hoping that the kitchen gets some TLC. Thank you!!

Loved this house!

Shannon and her husband were awesome hosts. The house is beautiful with a wonderful floor plan. Would definitely recommend this home for large family gatherings. Be prepared for stairs. It's 3 levels. It was worth every step.

Annual Beach Week

Where to begin? We go to the St Augustine area every year, for our family Beach Week. This year was our first time staying in Vilano Beach. We were thrilled to find a home large enough for our clan (18), on the beach, and within our budget! Over the past year the owners added a large hot tub/pool making this an ideal location and property. The property was very clean and the owners had an abundance of items we normally have to supply like TP, dishwasher soap, bath soap and shampoo, etc. Additionally, there were plenty of dishes, glasses, coffee mugs, and other serving pieces for a large group. All the beds were comfortable, the linens good, and we had bath linens enough for everyone. There were two major issues for our stay however. First, the large stove/ovens on the main living level (3rd floor), did not work! That required going from the first (ground) floor stove all the way up three flights to bring warm, cooked food to our dinner table. The first night was not a problem as I had already cooked the chicken and only needed to warm it up and put sauce on it. But cooking the rest of the meal, and in fact for the rest of the week, was not so easy. While Shannon was very easy to contact and her response was almost instantaneous, we still went all week running up and down stairs as the stove only had two burners and the broiler that worked. Her husband come over Sunday and tried to figure out what was wrong with it to no avail. Our second issue was with the main door lock, as we had problems with it not opening! Again, Shannon and Stephen were immediately responsive and replaced the door latch on Sunday. Homes that can accommodate large groups over 15 are hard to find, but even if they were abundant, we would still consider renting this home again. Our kids and grandkids loved it and thought it was our best week ever! Kudos for a well-appointed house Shannon and Stephen! (Just need a new stove inside and maybe a different setup on the deck.) Still, all things considered, this was a great home!

Beautiful home!

Wonderful house! Well decorated, very clean. Location is perfect! Fully equipped kitchen was great. Downside, the main oven is challenging to operate and is too small for the amount of people the house accommodates. We basically went up and down 3 flights to use the lower level oven whenever needed.

Outstanding Vacation Home

This vacation home is truly special. The first floor has everything you need for a great day coming and going to the beach, cooking out, making lunch, shooting pool or playing ping pong, or just sitting to read in the early daylight hours. I must mention at this point that the beach is close and there is pool to cool off in before you come into the house. Also, the beach at this point in Villano gets very wide at low tide, much like the prized beaches in St. Augustine, Butler, and Crescent beach further south but with far less people and no vehicular traffic. The second floor is your own private hotel with a master bedroom that includes a balcony and large tub with a beach view. In addition the luxurious master there is a second large bedroom on the other end and 6 very well appointed bedrooms in between for a total of 8. The third floor is incredible! The third floor is completely open with windows in every direction that provide unobstructed views in every direction. There are porches on the beach and highway sides and a full kitchen with a bar across the way. Between the bar, counter, and tables there is seating for almost 40 people comfortably and multiple TVs so everyone can happily keep up with their shows, console gaming, or sports. If you have a large family and want to be together but separate when necesary this is the home for your vacation.

Incredible house and gorgeous views

Perfect house for extended family reuniting from 5 states! Private boardwalk to the beach, gorgeous views from the decks or even while preparing meals in the kitchen. Lifelong memories made and can’t wait to go back!
