Beautiful home close to Smugglers Notch ski resort

This is a beautiful, private 4 bedroom home in the heart of Smuggler's Notch area with views of the mountains. It is an easy 3 miles to the slopes of Smugglers Notch Resort! This is a unique family property that consists of our primary residence with the rental being a separate and private "mother in law" home built by my parents to help facilitate family gatherings. Our family has made many lasting memories here and want to make your stay special. We are available for anything you need and are happy to advise you on things to do in the area. We have lived in this area for 26 years, drawn to it by the many recreational opportunities, mountains and relaxed lifestyle.

The home is secluded enough to provide privacy yet the activities in the area are only minutes away. It has a private entry, one car garage, ample parking, wood stove, granite kitchen counter tops, master bath with a jacuzzi bathtub. Large windows in the living area allow you to take advantage of our southern and easterly sunny exposures with beautiful mountain views. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and has all you will need and more. It is complete with gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and a coffee pot. We also provide pantry staples like sugar, salt, flour, spices, etc to help you prepare your own meals with the food you bring. Linens, towels and blankets are all provided. This home has 4 bedrooms to fit 8 people comfortably. No more than 8 people allowed to stay at rental.

Off the kitchen, there is a large deck with a picnic table and table with chairs and umbrella. The deck gets all the morning sun and is great for morning coffee. You will have access to trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing (see pictures). We even have a professionally lined pickle ball court in the front courtyard and equipment available for your use and enjoyment! There is flatscreen TV with cable network for watching shows, sporting events or movies. You will also have access to wireless Wifi.

Enjoy everything the area has to offer during each season: skiing, hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming and the best foliage in VT. The area offers many family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining, and a setting you can relax in. It is less than 1/2 mile from The Barn at Smugglers Notch, a beautiful, wedding barn. Just one mile down the road, in the quaint town of Jeffersonville, Hanley's General Store offers food, groceries, and Vermont made goods. The Cupboard Deli has the best sandwiches, beer cave and donuts. The Boyden Valley Winery is 5 minutes away. The Smugglers Notch Distillery offers tastings of local award winning spirits. Restaurants in the town of Jeffersonville, like The Family Table and 158 Main, allow for dining choices off the mountain.

Access Stowe by taking a breathtaking drive through the mountain pass road (Rte. 108) that connects Smugglers Notch and Stowe. Stunning during foliage! During the winter, this windy mountain pass is closed for safety.

Wonderful 4-Season Mountain Retreat

Perfect location to celebrate family gathering for Mother's 90th birthday. Clean, comfortable, and very spacious rooms, with beautiful outdoor deck and grounds. Plenty of room for kids to play and run around outside and well appointed game selection for kids and adults. All the comforts fo home in this well maintained rental. Host could not have been nicer or more accomodating. A real treat to be back in New England.

Always A Great Stay!

Wonderful Home

My friends and I have a ski reunion every March. As buddies living in Burlington during college, Smuggs was our hill. we decided to return this year and we stayed at Keta and Peter’s property. It was perfect. Everything you need is on site. The kitchen is superbly equipped. The home is very spacious, and can easily accommodate small and large groups. The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of room for up to ten people. The living room/dining area serves as the ideal place to gather, chat, eat, and laugh. Even though we didn't use the deck, it would have been a perfect additional place to gather during the spring or summer. The house and the deck overlook the beautiful woods, providing an idyllic private, quite setting close to the town of Jeffersonville. Being five minutes down the road from Smuggler’s Notch allows easy access to a superb skiing experience for every caliber skier. Keta and Peter were the perfect hosts. They are on site next door, but unintrusive. They were there to answer any questions we may have had, and provided us with a binder of useful information on things to do in the area. I gladly recommend their home to anyone interested. As mentioned, it is perfect for families and groups of friends. Thank you for hosting us. We really appreciated it.Barry

Perfect Ski Getaway - Clean, Cozy and Convenient!

We had a fantastic stay at this home near Smugglers! The house was spotless upon arrival, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to cook meals after a long day on the slopes if you choose to eat home. The living area was cozy, with a fireplace that made for the perfect après-ski atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained.The location was ideal—just a short drive to the ski resort, yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. Having heated garage in winter was such a great plus especially when night temps went below 0 Fahrenheit. Our host was communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and convenient ski retreat!Thank you Keta and Peter for helping us make family memories!

Pristine and Perfect!

I stayed at Keta and Peter's house for a girls weekend with my mom and sisters. It was the perfect place for us. It is extremely clean (some of us are hard to please in this category and we still give this property 5 stars in cleanliness). The sunlight pouring in through the big windows in the living/dining room made it bright and cheery. The kitchen has every appliance and gadget you could possibly need. The back deck with a view of the mountains is to die for. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Although there were 5 of us, we each got our own space - the four of them got their own bedrooms and I turned the downstairs common area into my bedroom with the pull out couch. Keta was VERY communicative leading up to the trip with regular messages with helpful info for us - making our check-in smooth and easy. While we were there I had a few questions and Keta responded right away. After our visit, my sisters wanted to know what kind of mattresses and pillows she has (because they slept better than they have in years) and Keta went above and beyond getting us the manufacturers of both. The location is great for that wonderful blend of "away from it all" with the private back yard, yet close enough to Stowe and other attractions to make being a tourist easy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend it! Thanks for everything Keta and Peter!!

Perfect Getaway!

My friends and I stayed here recently for a girl’s trip and it was so wonderful! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms made it easy to spread out and not feel cooped up. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking at home. There were a variety of puzzles and games to entertain us, as well as a pickleball court in the driveway out front. Lots of great activities to do in the area like hiking, going to Burlington, seeing the Ben & Jerry’s factory, etc. The hosts were super friendly and made all of us feel special and welcome. We spent most of this year’s trip saying how we already can’t wait to come back next year!

Wonderful, Relaxing Vermont Getaway Home

We liked our stay at this house, close to the Smuggler's Notch ski area. The property looked exactly like the pictures, which was the first lovely surprise. A fantastic stay

What a beautiful property! Exceptionally clean, while connected to the owners main property we felt like we had plenty of privacy! The check in process was easy, the rules were minimal and easy to follow. Plus getting to see Ozzy, the four legged tail wagging owner was an added bonus. Cozy place near Smuggler's Notch

We come to ski at Smuggler's for a few years now and once we found this place 4 years ago, we never looked for anything else. The house is bright, clean with everything you may need and more. Plenty of extra supplies (paper towels, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, towels, spices, oils), mostly any small necessity you typically have to buy yourself in any rental to use once or twice, or may forget to bring. Beds are very comfortable, house is sparkling clean and fresh. And if you are lucky with clear weather, the view from the back of the house to the woods and mountain is just beautiful. PA Wedding Stay

The property and the owners are Fabulous! The house was as nice as described. It was the perfect accommodation for 6 friends in town for a wedding. The house was clean and well stocked! The Owners think of everything you could need in advance. There were even fresh flowers, a gift basket and a note welcoming us. Perfect location and hosts

We just returned from a trip staying at this location. Everything about the place was as described. The hosts were excellent and communicated everything I needed to know. The house is great location for both mountains we were visiting - Smugglers Notch and Jay Peak. It truly has everything you need and more! Super clean, had spices, kitchen amenities, heated garage (perfect for drying equipment after the slopes), toiletries, etc. Our party was 4 adults and 4 older teenagers. We would definitely stay here again.
