It is a short walk to the National Historical Park and Totem Trail, continental breakfast that includes a variety of breads and fresh fruits, and there is a small convenience store down the street located next to a brew pub with good beer and a limited variety of food options, including a Mexican food truck. Our room was spotlessly clean, but the Eagle Bay employees are the true standouts. Kyle picked us up at the airport and went out of his way to take us to meet my husband’s sisters, who had arrived on a cruise ship that day. Laila was helpful and friendly, while Vicky, the owner and manager, behind her sweet grandmotherly demeanor, is an Alaskan woman of steel who makes that whole thing run like clockwork. Do not doubt the truth of what I say. Our only complaint was that the lobby TV was always on fake Fox News, which is never a good way to start a day."
