First of all the doors have no latches to secure door, I had a smoking room no ash tray. The fridge was set so high everything froze. The halls were dirty. I've stayed at this motel before, but it is really getting run down. Sorry

As a woman traveling alone, and arriving later than I had expected, I felt uncomfortable by group of people, standing by the lobby doorway, smoking and hanging out. The lobby looks like a local neighborhood laundromat with not one bit of decor that made it feel like the lobby of the motel and there was no one at the front desk so I had to go look for someone. After registering and parking my car, I found the nearest entry to my room, and was made further uncomfortable by the fact that there was no lock on the door, and that it appeared to be broken out. As I walk down the hallway on the second floor to my room, I could not help but notice that some of the doors were unlocked and slightly ajar. Entering my room, I discovered curtains hanging askew, the phone disconnected because it was cracked and broken, the tv remote did not work, the sink faucet was also cracked and broken, the towels were badly stained and the toilet seat was not fully secured. All in all, I could not wait to pack up my things and move on in the morning. Check out was pleasant enough, and while I understand that I certainly paid a budget rate for this room, I would, never, never repeat this experience again. The photos of this property certainly do not reflect the reality that exists!

Run by crackheads, stole my bag, filthy. NASTY!!!

RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! NEVER STAY HERE The motel 6 in Silver City is staffed with unsavory people. They stole my bag from my room and when we returned at night, my room was occupied by people who looked like they were doing drugs, the door was wide open and my bag was gone. The unprofessional attendant at the front knew they had stolen my bag because he called the employees who had taken my bag home with them and told them I was looking for my bag and they should bring it back. Taken by two of the employees who were on duty when I checked in. The room was now occupied by friends who were coming in and out nonstop. We were given another room that was filthy. There were cockroaches, no shower curtain, the tub and toilet were disgusting. We took pictures and have a police report. Even the manager looked like a crackhead. She said her name was Margarita. I suffered anxiety and could not sleep. RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!! The worst experience ever! THIEVES RUN THIS PLACE AND INVITE ALL THEIR FRIENDS INTO YOUR ROOM WHEN YOU'RE NOT THERE.

Do Not Stay Here!

Had to have been the worst stay I’ve ever had. Really dirty and run-down. I’ve stayed at a Motel 6 before and it was average, but this was definitely below average. The door did not work properly and the smell was hard to get used to.

We have stayed at Motel 6 in other cities, and they all seem to be comparable and acceptable. The location in Silver City, however, appeared clean and in good repair from the highway, but when we turned into the property and drove to the side and back of the location, we saw that it was run-down and dirty. It was raining that day, and windows were open with no screens, curtains blowing outside and rain soaking them and going into the rooms. The parking lot was full of large pot holes. The lobby of the property was dirty and dingy, not well-lit. If these areas look like this, we assumed that the room would be similar. Although we had already paid via Expedia, we did not feel safe and decided to get a room elsewhere in town. The only bright spot was the friendliness of the employee at the counter, Joseph. I would love a refund, but don't know if that will pan out.
