We had family visiting us in Tucson from Ohio and North Carolina. They all wanted to see Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We booked this beautiful home in Sedona for a long weekend and took a day trip from there up to the Grand Canyon. It was a nice way to see both places in a short period of time.
This home is just as pictured. Plenty of room for a large family or groups of friends. The location is great - close to town, shopping, dining, etc., but remote enough from the crowded tourist area. You can walk to a main destination, the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which is a beautiful, spiritual place.
The neighborhood is very nice. The house is charming and comfortable, and you will find pretty much anything you need for food prep, and other needs such as laundry, soap, shampoo, etc. It was very clean. The game room was fun, and we utilized that a lot. The back yard is very large, and gorgeous with amazing scenic views, giving it the feel of being at a resort.
The only drawback to us was that on Saturday night while we were in the backyard playing games and some were in the Jacuzzi, we had a “neighbor” yell at us through a bullhorn that we were violating Sedona’s noise ordinance, and that if we were loud the next night, he would call the police. Our response was to say, “We’re sorry, we weren’t aware of this, and we’re going inside now”. We kept it quiet after 9:00 pm the next night and there were no other issues.
