Comfort and space

Amazing with private bathrooms for each bedroom, effective quiet central heating. Very well appointed kitchen and laundry. Large drying room for gear. Space to dine together or just relax in the lounge. Terry was very responsive to any issues easy to reach by car with plenty of parking space.

Sweet Sweet Location

House was beautiful and large. Having the five separate suites was ideal so everyone had their privacy. Laundry machine worked. Fully stocked kitchen. Location was quick walk to the mountain 10mins. Most of the time a random scooped us up on the way. We were very upset the management team did not communicate the hot tub would be unavailable. I get it was something out of their control with the snow but this is very critical to our group, we start our housing search by filtering for a tub. Checking in the first day after a long day of skiing to find the tub is closed really sucked. It would have softened the blow to have communicated this preemptively or work on getting it usable during our 7 days. That being send they team did provide us with a substantial discount to apologize. Our driveway was one of the few that was not plowed and our car kept getting stuck. Great place to stay to visit schwietzer

Great Home for Large Group of Men

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house can accommodate a good number of people. We had seven men, which typically becomes a problem as most homes assume two to a bed......NOT FOR MEN! Sunspot was very accommodating. Each room (except Master) comes with a loft that has three beds. So, two of us stayed in lofts. The bed ware very comfortable and it gave us all the privacy that you would need. Terry (owner) was very on top of everything. The Kitchen is extremely well equipped for cooking anything! Even large pots to make chili. You will like this home.

Great house for a large group

The house was great, each bedroom had it's own bath. The kitchen was nicely appointed. They had extra chairs so our group of 10 could all sit at the table. The hot tub could sit 5 or 6 comfortably. The owner was very responsive when contacted.It's possible to walk to the resort but it would be difficult for most.The resort offered an on call shuttle doing the weekend. It would have been awesome if that was provided for the entire week

10/10 stay! Highly recommend!

Our family and friends had a blast and this home was perfect! The host was very quick to respond every time we had a question! The place was very clean and there were lots of accommodations! The location was great for quick access to the mountain. Highly recommend this home and we will definitely be staying here again or one of their other locations. Thank you again!

Best VRBO ever stays

This property is amazing. The owners were very easy to communicate with and responsive. We had 4 families stay and there was enough room. It is the best stocked rental we have every stayed with bathroom supplies, coffee, and the basics for cooking. The kitchen has everything you need! It was VERY clean. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Great Property - Great Hosts

We recently stayed at the Sunspot Lodge with my siblings and spouses - 10 adults in all. We picked Sunspot because of the five bedrooms with five attached bathrooms. The Lodge was very comfortable with a large kitchen, a big dining table, roomy living room with electric fireplace, and all secondary bedrooms were a nice size with lofts and bathrooms. The kitchen was so well-stocked we had no problems preparing meals for our large group. The Lodge is in a beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful. We saw many deer and a moose on our drives up and down the mountain. Schweitzer Resort is just a short drive or 10 minute walk away. We hiked up the mountain and earned a free ride down on the chair lift. We had a great time hiking on several trails and enjoyed the abundance of wildflowers. Lake Pend Oreille is just down the mountain and offered beautiful scenery and a fun boat tour. There is an easy trail that winds along the edge of the lake. Shopping is also just down the mountain, along with many choices for restaurants. The Lodge was clean and orderly when we checked in. I especially want to commend the hosts for their very quick and thorough communication. I have never dealt with such professional hosts who were so easy to communicate with. I appreciated that very much. We highly recommend Sunspot Lodge for a great vacation location with a large group.

The best VRBO we’ve ever rented

If you have a large family or group of friends that want to stay at a mountain resort, put this at the top of your list. We have a group of 9 docs who ski together yearly. This home was perfect. It is almost new, cheerful, nicely decorated, and spacious. Excellent view, w lake view. Kitchen was well stocked for large groups. The mountain is excellent for skiing, all levels. Owners are gracious.

Annual friends and family trip

Sunspot Lodge was perfect for our annual ski and snowboard getaway. 4 families, 5 teens, a 10 year old and an infant - this place had everything we needed! Terry and Jeff were super responsive and helpful. Already planning next year’s trip and will absolutely consider Sunspot. It is not ski in/ski out, but it’s not far and several of us walked to and from the village.

Amazing spot for our group

Overall we had a great stay. The place had everything we needed (beds, towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc). The hot tub and the bottom locker room were great amenities to have. We were able to walk to Schweitzer which was a plus. Bedrooms were great, just need to make sure people are able to get up the ladders if you have a big group. Lastly, the owners were great and very reliable and communicative. We’d go back!

Great large place!

This our second time staying at this property with a group of coworkers. Very spacious and awesome set up with all the suites. Looking forward to booking this place again for next years trip. Very responsive and helpful host!

Great Rental; Large, Comfortable

The property was great for our large group. Everyone was happy and very surprised at the level of detail this rental offers. Accommodates families with kids, there plenty of space for ski equipment, lots of living space in the bedrooms and the shared spaces. On the service route of the mountain shuttle, which was convenient, specially when dealing with a larger group. The host was easy to communicate with and was very helpful in providing information prior to the trip. I definitely will consider staying at this property when we return to Schweitzer!!

Review of Schweitzer Mountain Lodge

The house was spacious, comfortable, close to the resort parking and had a great view of the mountain. The kitchen was very well stocked. The check in/out process was very easy and my kids really liked the rooms named for different ski runs.

Great spot on a great mountain.

Tons of room. Great kitchen. We were skiing early in the week so the shuttle was not running ( runs Th-Sun when we were there) , but it was a 2 min drive and there was plenty of parking available at the base. Terry ( property manager) was very easy to work with.

Amazing time with family

From the time of booking to the time of checking out Terry was an excellent communicator. When I had a question or needed help she responded within 24 hours. We had a small family reunion at this property and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The house was immaculate and accommodated each one of our individual families comfortably. Each room is spacious and featured a mini bar and restroom - something particularly important what you have a packed house! We planned to have family meals at the table and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make that happen. The views were amazing and the Sweitzer Lodge area had lots of fun activities for everyone in my family ranging from 2-80 years of age. I’d definitely recommend choosing this home for your stay!! It’s amazing!!
