Horribly outdated. Smelled and looked like a great grandparent’s home. Very hot. Only box A/C. Microscopic bathroom. Antique furniture. Great views. Like staying on Titanic.

The view from the room was amazing! As for the hotel, it’s old and outdated. The A/C in the room is noisy so it’s hard to sleep. The weight machine was broken. The hot tub was hot only 1 day out of the 4 days we were there, the rest of the time it was either empty or warm at best. Apparently they are going to tear it down and build a new hotel so they’re not investing into this one. Overall it was fine, it’s not like we were spending our whole day there, it’s better to enjoy the town of Sandpoint anyway. The staff was excellent though, they made the stay better.

Stay somewhere else.

This hotel is old. Like you're parents stayed here in the 70s old. I booked because our group was suppose to stay here but they stayed in the one in Ponderay. We slept one night of a two night stay and then booked a room at Spring Hill suites for the 2nd night. We couldn't handle how bad the hotel was, also heard its supposed to be torn down soon.

Oldy but goody

This is our second stay. Although the hotel was probably last updated in 1980, and I'm sure some of it is original to it's build in 1960, it is very clean with comfortable beds. All rooms face the lake. The location is next to the park and a very short walk to downtown. The staff is always friendly. The pool and hot tub are indoors and warm year round.

Good but not great!

This hotel is a bit tired and rundown...though considering its age, still in pretty good shape....destined to be torn down in the near future. The bed was not so comfortable. The breakfast was quite decent. We did enjoy the lake view from the 3rd floor room.

We stayed here in one of the larger rooms in April. It was quiet as the hustle and bustle of the summer season had not yet begun. Very comfortable room and a refreshing stay. A little bit of an older property at this point, and yes it is next to the railroad tracks, but it can't be beat as far as being right on the beach and water!

Front desk staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. We had a king suite, very roomy and clean, and two bathrooms! King bed was not very comfortable, mattress pshould be replaced; bath towels were very thin; air/heat units in the bedroom and livingroom were very noisy. Close to town for shopping and beach for walking. Lake was low, dry docks ( due to this tme of year) but great view of mountains.
