Our room did NOT look as good as the one in the picture when I booked through Travelocity. The room smelled musty, linens are average, bed skirt was ripped and the TV is cable only that seems to be stuck in the 1990's. It was hard to open the two front windows and when my husband did, there was dust caked on the window sill. The fridge has no freezer section for ice packs. We won't be staying here again. Getting tired of hotels that charge a lot of money for a bait & switch photo.

We stayed for 1 night on mothers day. Stay was comfortable and quiet. Loved the heated pool and hot tub. Beach is right outside your window. Walking distance to a restaurant or 2. Room was clean and shutters kept the light out so we get a little extra sleep before a morning walk on the beach trail. Definitely looking forward to another stay.

We checked into the hotel late on Friday. Having booked it for 4 people, we needed to use the pullout bed. As we were preparing it, we discovered what looked like throw up on the couch as well as lots of other stains al over it. The couch smelled and was absolutely disgusting. I went to the front to see if they had another room available and they did not. It was late and we have kids so we needed rest. The room was not supplied with extra sheets of blankets for the pull out so had to go back and wait for them at the office. It took the office attendant about 10 minutes to even notice I was at the desk waiting. I have stayed in Cambria so many times and this was the worst experience. We tried to move hotels but FogCatcher would not refund us for the night, even though the accommodations were terrible! Never roll book this hotel again.

We really enjoyed staying so close to beach and having a view of the ocean but it felt overpriced for the room. The fireplace worked intermittently for the 1st 1/2 hour. The room looked recently renovated and was mostly clean. We did find 3 spiders in the 3 days we stayed though. One of our biggest complaints was not being able to contact customer service over the phone. It would ring without anyone answering. One time we did get someone to pick up but they were at a different property and were confused how we called them. We don’t regret staying there but we will look for other hotels on our next trip. I’d like to add that the 2 girls that we saw in the lobby were nice and helpful.

Room was freezing. There is a fireplace but it didn’t warm the room much. Bathroom stayed cold and the heat light didn’t warm it at all. Not very comfortable to take a shower. Also no ceiling fan. Other than the temperature issue the room was nice.

We stayed at the Fogcatcher for one night as we continued our drive down the coast. The room was as expected and the was service friendly and accommodating. Location was great, right on the Moonstone Beach so we could stretch our legs and take in the scenery. Highly recommend Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill for dinner if you are eating out, close by and great food.
