The hotel is very centrally located in a scenic and safe location. Excellent breakfast, high quality comfortable room and amenities. My first choice for any repeat visit.

The property is old but in mostly good condition. The elevator doesn't go to theb5th floor and I had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. I'm 70 years old. There was a young man at the desk that was rude to me on separate occasions. He soeaks a little English. He called my room and told me breakfast hours were 7-10 and I thanked him. He asked what time I would eat and I replied between 7-10. He was insisting because they had a group that I would commit to a time. Im on vacation with my wife and I'll eat breakfast during the designated hours and not when some rude kid tells me I have to give a time. I'm the paying guest and of you want my business, you'll treatbme as a guest. Most of your staff were pleasant.

All staff were excellent, including the front desk, the bar, the breakfast crew, and the cleaning. In particular, Sol at the front desk was fantastic. Terrible check in experience! The team do not spread English not even a word. Very slow handling Even after booking the room the price is not clear. Initially we received probably the worse room possible not rinocated on the first floor. Not even close to the picture on Expedia web site… After complaining, very difficult with the language barrier and huge inconvenience they replaced to another room on the roof floor. It’s ok but several infrastructure issues… The room is so hot, the bath water can is broken…

Couldn’t get any hot water in the shower. Great location though, and very nice staff. Breakfast was excellent. Stayed the night here with the most beautiful girl in the world so I didn’t really give a damn about any of this.

perfectly adequate hotel

This hotel was perfectly adequate, nothing outstanding but provides a comfortable room. One minor concern was that some reception staff had no English whilst others had good english. But the staff tried their best which was better than some places in Argentina, so cant complain. The Wi-Fi was sluggish at times and probably can’t cope when demand is high. The best thing about this hotel is it’s location and free parking.

Excellent Bariloche choice

We stayed here twice in a week, with an interlude in San Martín de los Andes in between. The Nahuel Huapi is an excellent choice in Bariloche due to its central location and excellent service, as well as amenities like wifi and breakfast.

Good value and fine location in Bariloche

We stayed at the Nahuel Huapi twice, a few days apart, bookending a trip to San Martín de los Angeles. We found the staff very warm and helpful in all respects. The breakfasts are large and with a good variety of fruit, cereal, pastries. The coffee, however, is weak and tasteless. The wifi is fine in rooms facing on the street but weaker on the back. However, it's much quieter on the back, as Bariloche has a problem with noisy late night motorcyclists, as the local newspaper admitted during the time we were there.
