Monte Vista Gem

Lovely home. Has all the needed items and luxury amenities one always hopes for in a vacation rental. Monte Vista is my favorite neighborhood in SA. This is an older home so be aware the house takes a bit longer to cool down and the owner does ask that the AC not be run below 74; this was an issue for us but we purchased a few box fans - something for travelers who need a cold home to be aware of; especially in this brutal Texas heat. Driveway Parking is narrow but there is room for most smaller vehicles in the driveway. 5 stars on everything but listing accuracy per the temperature control rule of 74 and a change in the listing and booking check out time of 12pm to 11am after the booking was done. I believe the owner has since corrected this error on her listing and will make the correction to her house manual as well.

All was fine. Accidentally left an item, the owner said they would mail it back. I have repeatedly ask what I owe, needless to say have not received the item. Disappointed

Easy access to downtown San Antonio

We were in San Antonio for 4 days and wanted a place near downtown but not too close. This property is an easy 10 minutes from all the downtown and historic attractions. Of the different properties to choose from, we thought it would be a good experience for our teenage son to "experience" the look and feel of a more formal setting and decor. We all enjoyed the "historic" details the owner put into the property to give it some authenticity to the time period it was built in. My son's two favorite things were the painting over his bed(sage bed) and the TVs in each room. My husband and I really enjoyed the high ceilings, rugs, and the artwork. Sabrina was an easy host to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed the cookies! We would definitely stay here again.

Comfort, Convenience and Cleanliness!

Title says it all- very comfortable beds with plenty of room, so convenient to get downtown and anywhere in the area and A plus for cleanliness. Sabrina was a jewel to communicate with. We’d happily stay again if we were in the area.

Second stay here

This house was one of the best vacation homes I’ve stayed in. Came last year and loved it so much we returned this year for our yearly Spring Break trip. It is stocked with everything from hairspray, feminine products, linen/room spray, bath sponges, to all the cooking seasonings and coffee! You literally need to just pack your clothes! They were able to accommodate my last minute request of a high chair and pack n play. And we LOVED all the snacks and water that was left for us. MUCH APPRECIATED after a long road trip! Beautiful historic home that’s very clean and welcoming for my family. So close to Downtown/Riverwalk is a plus!

Excellent Choice

Four women and one teen girl shared this house for three nights while in town for a convention. Convenient location to downtown and the River Walk. Plenty of space for 4 , very comfy beds, super clean house and also cute and cozy. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Elegant and comfortable home!

The elegant and comfortable property is extremely clean and well maintained. The host left a welcome gift and presented the home extremely well for our arrival. Situated in a historic neighborhood with easy access to downtown, the Pearl District and Castle Hill areas. Lots of good, local eateries nearby.

One of the best vacation homes we’ve stayed in

My husband and boys have rented many vacation homes through the years and this tops as one of the best we’ve stayed at. This was by far the best stocked rental we’ve stayed at…we also loved having snacks and water waiting for us after a long drive and the k-cup coffee was a cherry on top. Beautiful home with so much character and the beds were so incredibly comfortable! Heat and a/c worked perfect and we all felt safe in the house. About 5-8 minute drive to main downtown/Alamo area. Thank you for sharing your home and having it so well stocked with everything we needed. Even the extra contact lens case came in handy when I lost my case!
