Relaxing holiday at the water’s edge

We picked this property because we wanted to use our kayaks & paddle boards without having to drive too far. We were delighted with the location! It was so easy to walk from the garden directly to the waters edge & launch straight from the jetty. A paddle boarding dream! And we were lucky with the weather & tides providing some idyllic tranquil waters so we paddled extensively around the inlet. Highly recommend! We also found beaches not far away that were perfect for paddling. We were impressed by the unspoilt nature of the beaches, so beautiful! In addition, the property is located next to the beautiful chapel & village green. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Breton village festival hosted on the green so we immersed ourselves in village activities for the day, which was fun! What lovely people we met. The house suited our needs as a family of 5, with plenty of space to spread out, it was clean & characterful & had all the equipment we needed. We highly recommend this lovely holiday property in the heart of a local village.

Breton Perfection

A week at this charming property isn't nearly enough. This is our 4th visit to Brittany, and may be our most enjoyable. L'Oiseau Bleu was a wonderful property. While there were only 4 of us, it can comfortably sleep up to 11. The kitchen is stocked with everything from oyster knives to a crepe pan, and everything in between. Washer, dryer, and a sizable drying rack mean you never have to find a laundry. The situation is gorgeous. Just behind a small 17th century stone chapel overlooking an inlet. During daylight hours you can hear the church bell chime the hours. Every morning we got up and had croissants and coffee or chocolat chaude in the glassed-in veranda looking out over the garden and watched the birds. Did I mention the veranda is heated? Even in winter it would be possible to do this. Now, in late October, it wasn't even necessary to have the heat on! The house is very close to the megalithic sights at Carnac and Locmariaquer, less than 10 minutes drive. Further amenities included good wifi, not just 1, but 2 refrigerators! as well as a small freezer for ice. I think there are also bicycles available, although we didn't use them. Many towns nearby have market days so you can easily pick up the freshest local ingredients for making wonderful dishes, as well as finding some locally brewed sea water beer or the excellent ciders of the region. There are also several creperies nearby to go and try a buckwheat galette complet or beurre sucre crepe. This property is wonderfully located so that you feel you've gotten away from it all, but you're close in enough to anything you might need. Mr. Morel was a wonderful host who was incredibly kind, and patient with all of our questions. We're incredibly grateful that we got so fortunate as to chose his property and that it was available for our dates. It's truly a hidden gem.

Maison trĂšs fonctionnelle et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e .Electro mĂ©nager en parfait Ă©tat : 2 frigos lave linge sĂšche linge trĂšs appreciables .Beaucoup d Ă©quipement dans la cuisine : robots,cafetiĂšres , nombreuses casseroles, poĂȘles, moules Ă  gĂąteaux .Il y a de nombreux livres Ă  disposition : on sent que c est une maison de famille qui a Ă©tĂ© habitĂ©e et est trĂšs chaleureuse .Vue magnifique sur la riviĂšre de saint Philibert Grand Jardin arborĂ© et fleuri trĂšs agrĂ©able .La communication avec mr Morel (le propriĂ©taire )et Mme Le Bohec (qui nous a accueilli avec ponctualitĂ© ) a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs fluide et efficace .Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© la proximitĂ© du village pour aller Ă  pied Ă  la boulangerie et de la riviĂšre pour faire du paddle des plages Ă  1km.L emplacement de la maison est idĂ©al et plein de charme avec la magnifique chapelle et la petite place du village oĂč ont eu lieu 2 concerts en plein air pendant notre sĂ©jour .Nous reviendrons avec plaisir .

Ganzes EFH mit Meerblick und Ruhe

Man fĂŒhlt sich ein bißchen wie ein Franzose in diesem gerĂ€umigen EFH in exponierter Lage mit Blick auf das Meer. Alles ist reichlich vorhanden. Zwei Schlafzimmer fĂŒr Erwachsene mit jeweils einem Doppelbett und drei Kinder- bzw. Babyzimmer (wenn ich richtig gezĂ€hlt habe). Ebenso zwei Badezimmer und zwei von den Badezimmern getrennte Toiletten. Hier können Großfamilien wohnen. Die KĂŒche könnte grĂ¶ĂŸer sein, aber so hatte man das wohl in den Zeiten als die Frau des Hauses alle zu bedienen hatte (Durchreichen in zwei Richtungen vorhanden). Der Hauswirtschaftsraum sucht seinesgleichen. Hier stehen auch noch ein KĂŒhlschrank und ein GefriergerĂ€te neben der obligatorischen Waschmaschine. Großes Wohnzimmer mit Digital-TV und mit Esstisch braucht kaum eine ErwĂ€hnung. Aber dafĂŒr die verglaste Terrasse mit Ausblick auf das große RasengrundstĂŒck. Hier stehen leider etwas zu viele Sitzmöbel herum, wenn man nur zu zweit kommt (leider nicht stabelbar). Wer viel RasenflĂ€che liebt: Das GrundstĂŒck ist riesig: Fußball spielen oder Frisbee werfen geht problemlos. NatĂŒrlich auch das Herumtoben mit einem agilen Hund. Parken des Autos auf dem GrundstĂŒck vor dem Haus geht auch: Gartentor auf, Zuweg bis zum Hauseingang fahren und parken, Zuweg zurĂŒcklaufen, Gartentor schließen, fertig. Tja: Viel Haus bedeutet viel Laufen. So ist das eben. Ringsherum gibt es ĂŒbrigens BĂ€cker und andere kleine GeschĂ€fte. Ansonsten ist das eine ruhige Wohngegend. Ausnahme: Der gelegentliche Glockenschlag der Kapelle.

Le calme

Nous sommes des habituĂ©s de la Bretagne et des locations de vacances. Celle-ci nous a particuliĂšrement plu. L'environnement est trĂšs agrĂ©able et c'est extrĂȘmement calme et reposant. Übergabe des Ferienhauses hat nicht funktioniert

Die Lage, Logistik und die Umgebung ist sehr gut. Man hat in der nĂ€heren Umgebung viele Ausflugsziele (u. a. Carnac, uvm.). Allerdings ist die persönliche Übergabe an dem Anreise-Samstag nicht erfolgt. Nach einer Wartezeit von ĂŒber 2 Stunden und vielen Telefonaten kam es letztendlich mit der Übergebenden zu einem SMS-Austausch mit Bekanntgabe, wo der SchlĂŒssel abholbereit liegt. Eine 2. persönlich vereinbarte Übergabe (Sonntag / Montag) erfolgte nicht, da die Betreuerin keine Zeit hatte und auch nicht erschien. Eine direkte persönliche Übergabe erfolgte erst am 5. Tag (Donnerstag). Bis auf die Übergabe des Ferienhauses kann dieses sehr empfohlen werden.

Perfect vacation place

The house is chamingly old-fashioned, but clean, well-equiped and comfortable. (The refrigerators could benefit from an upgrade, however.) The location is lovely, an island of calm away from the flood of summer vacationers and tourists. It is adjacent, however, to the village park, which hosts some noisy, crowded events, as well as outdoor masses connected with the beautiful chapel next door. We did not find these disturbances too frequent or unruly to distract from the otherwise perfectly pleasant surroundings. Thanks to Arnaud and hism family for sharing their wonderful home.

Schöner Blick auf Ebbe und Flut

Das sehr ruhig gelegene Haus bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Meeresarm von Saint Philibert und fasziniert durch den Wechsel von Ebbe und Flut. Das Ferienhaus ist auch fĂŒr mehrere Personen sehr großzĂŒgig ausgestattet. Das große GrundstĂŒck bietet viel Bewegungsfreiheit vor allem fĂŒr Kinder. Die Betreuung durch Carole Philippe war perfekt. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und werden gerne wiederkommen.

Hervorragend

Das Haus ist wunderbar gelegen und der Garten ist ein Traum. Komplett eingezĂ€unt (zum großen Teil mit einer schönen alten Mauer) ist es ideal fĂŒr einen Urlaub mit Kindern oder Hund. Man hat einen schönen Blick aufs Wasser. Das Haus ist gepflegt und bietet alles, was man braucht, sehr angenehm. - Die freundliche Verwalterin war jederzeit erreichbar und reagierte bei Fragen sofort. Der BĂ€cker ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar, ein großer IntermarchĂ© befindet sich in 3 km Entfernung. Wanderungen kann man direkt am Haus beginnen lassen, SandstrĂ€nde sind zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder per Auto sehr gut erreichbar. Saint-Philibert ist ein ausgezeichneter, sehr zentraler Standort fĂŒr Fahrten in die Umgebung. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub und kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Le bonheur

En famille nous avons adorĂ© notre sĂ©jour Ă  l’oiseau bleu . La maison oĂč on se sent comme chez soi (voire mieux si je regarde les batteries de cuisine!), l’immense jardin, le cadre fabuleux face Ă  la mer prĂšs d’une petite chapelle et juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© d’ostrĂ©iculteurs. Les promenades alentours sont nombreuses et le golfe du Morbihan est magnifique. Dommage de devoir en partir 
 mais nous reviendrons !!!

Das Haus ist an einer wunderbaren Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht. Leider war das Geschirr und der Backofen nicht sauber und ebenso der Grill kaputt. Uns wurden deshalb die Putzkosten erlassen und im Auftrag des Hausbesitzers konnten wir einen neuen Grill kaufen - welcher er dann uns bar zurĂŒckerstattete. Leider ernteten wir fĂŒr die Fahrt (50km) und den Zusammenbau des Grills keinen Dank... Trotz diesen Erfahrungen hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.
