We (myself, husband, and two large teenage boys) were flying in overnight for a cruise out of Rome (actually Civitavecchia, about 1.5 hours from Rome, but who is counting?) and wanted to stay on the coast about halfway between the airport and the seaport to give us a day to recover from jet lag before embarkation. This little family-run hotel was just the ticket. It is close to the beach, where there are a variety of restaurants and beach clubs. We had a quadruple room, which was just fine for our purposes. It was small and a little tight, but it was clean, there was wifi, and they let us into our room early! It had a cute little balcony with sea views. There is also a restaurant where we had lunch, and the breakfast was included and delicious. We had an early "dinner" on the beach (drinks and apertivo....they didn't start serving dinner until 8pm) and watched the sunset. It was hot as the blazes, but there was a breeze on the water and the AC in the room was very comfortable. The family that runs the hotel are all lovely people. This is obviously a local place, for Italian tourist, not Americans. Speaking with the older folks was tricky, but we all laughed with Google translate and they were very happy whenever we tried to speak our terrible Italian... Fair warning....if you come from the airport, just use the Uber app. The airport folks will steer you toward the "local" taxis because you aren't going to Rome. DON'T. Ripoff. Just use Uber.
