Perfect Space for a Girlfriends Getaway

This location is what made this stay so magical. Stunning Ocean Views, with sunsets that make you swoon, and walk to the beach across the street. So perfect! Thank you!

Quiet street

We rented as a very last minute winter weekend because the weather was in the 70’s and found this place. The manager is very responsive and friendly. The property is on a dead end street which made it quiet and less crowded. It’s close to fun places to explore, lots of hiking and of course the beach is literally across the road. There were plenty of beds/rooms for the family and a great rooftop expansive deck to watch the gorgeous sunsets. Since you won’t be swimming in the ocean it’s great that there are runoffs that flow down the beach so the kids can play in the water there. Now, for the place itself it doesn’t offer nice outdoor space to play games or hang out really. Not such a bad thing but would be nice if the area where grass is supposed to be was kept up. It’s a bit rundown and could have been cleaner. However, again overall not to bad that we couldn’t enjoy ourselves anyway. They do provide a lot of towels and chairs, plus toiletries and kitchen cleaning supplies which is great!

Great for large families

We have stayed at this property twice. Overall we like it due to its size (good for a large group of people) and it’s proximity to the beach. Our only issue this stay was one of the toasters had mouse droppings in it.

Family Vacay

Our vacation was super fun. Rental was clean and spacious. Perfect location. We explored the beach and other close towns. Big hit with the family. The only thing that put any damper on our stay were all 6 cameras. (All Outside). We felt like someone was always watching us. Grandkids didn’t like them either. This was very odd. Not sure we would stay at that rental again. Everything else was very nice and we appreciate how easy peezy it was for all of us to get there.

Great location

Great location. Well-equipped kitchen. Responsive rental agency. Very comfortable living room. Only downsides were electronics: entry code didn't work, no internet, couldn't get TV to work. However, we were enjoying our vacation so much none of the above challenges mattered much!

House was beautiful, just like the pictures showed. There were 17 of us total and there was adequate accommodations, parking was great, view was phenomenal. We would defiantly go back to this house

Great Family Vacation Spot

We absolutely loved the house location and it's proximity to the beach. The house was large enough to accommodate 19 of us with a couple extra small children. We have come to Rockaway Beach for 7 of the last 8 years and this was by far the best place we have stayed. If the owners will have my motley crew, we will be back!

House listing was correct with the property. Plenty of room for our large group. Views were amazing. For future renting, if it’s a beach property, you should provide beach towels and beach chairs. We ended up purchasing them and gifting them back to the house. Those small items make a stay more enjoyable.

Great family trip

We loved the property, the location and the surroundings. The only issue we had was trying to unlock the door. The code didn't work, then when we got the key it was stuck in the door. Also, the garbage was already full and little space to put ours. It blew around from the wind. Could use another can or more frequent pickup. But the house was beautiful and the view fantastic, and everything else worked well. Rooms were great and pretty soundproof. Loved seeing the tourist train came through too.

Good location, but poor management.

House was clean at arrival. The communication was very poor with the property manager. Property manager just ignored my messages and didn't respond after initial couple of questions. One bathroom door would not lock. We had to improvise by making signboard for 'in-use'. If the group size is more than 10, two bathrooms are less. There was no bathroom on the upper level. Every morning we ran out of warm water. Top floor was atleast 10 degrees colder than main floor due to poor insulation.

Excellent location !!

This was a great location !! We were lucky enough to have empty rentals on the sides so we had the area to ourselves . The beach access was just across the driveway and view was phenomenal . It lacked a some kitchen items but overall very well stocked with linens and everything else. Another bathroom upstairs would have been ideal , but there is not much room for one upstairs. The two biggest rooms are up there, and one is connected to the balcony which has a great view, and is probably such a great spot in the summer ! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great location, Very good overall experience.

Beautiful location, Upper deck is very cool. They need to make access to it from both upstairs bedrooms. They need to put at least a half bath upstairs. One burner did not work, the barbecue was filthy, a few broken screens, the trees could be taken down a bit from obstructing the downstairs view. Other than these mostly minor issues, It was a very nice experience

Great location

This house is on a very quiet beach making it a great spot for families who want to avoid crowds. Highly suggest bringing cleaning supplies- the floors and bathrooms needed to be redone when we arrived.

Family Vacation

The Strand Home was so relaxing and bug enough for all the kids and most important the grandkids. Easily short walk to beach several times each day. Opened all the windows to listen to the Ocean and feel the cool air. The beds were very comfortable and plenty. Washer and Dryer worked well and a plus with our size family. Kitchen was well equipped and BBQ was just like home. Large kitchen table fit us all. Thank you.

Wonderful location to beach

We really enjoyed this beach house. We would stay again. There was lots of seating in the living room and kitchen table which is often hard to find. The two bathrooms are on the main floor. Good to note if someone needs a bathroom upstairs at night. The beds were comfortable. No complaints there. We came in March when the weather was just turning a little warmer. We enjoyed the awesome deck by taking blankets outside and snuggled up in them to read stories to the grandchildren while watching the sun set. A fun evening. There is outside access to the upper deck as well as access through the bedroom with the King bed upstairs. The house had everything we needed accept tin foil. Not a standard item but always useful. Note that the fireplace/pellet stove is out of order which was disappointing during this time of year. The beach has small 'rivers' for a safe place for the kids to play in the water and build sandcastles with easy access to water without going out to the waves where it was colder and a need to be right there withthe kiddos. The home would benefit from the owner going through all the games, puzzels and drawers to bring some organization and order and discard the items that are not complete or broken. The living room carpet could use a cleaning. Otherwise, it was a great house and you wouldn't go wrong in staying here.

Perfect beach house!

With three generations staying at the property, we had plenty of room for everyone. Loved that the beach was just across the private road! Views were awesome! Grill worked great and kitchen was well stocked. We would love to stay there again in the future!
